I got one last month, and so far so good. If you read and follow the directions thoroughly, and I emphasized thoroughly you should be OK. In fact, I recommend reading the install instructions multiple times before using. Secondly, understand which features operated in which mode as it may not be intuitive if you lack the technical experience or/and even if you do. Lastly, apply each feature one at a time and verify that it works before selecting others .Now I’m nervous about ever getting one
I like the TazerDT specifically for the features it gives that alfaObd can't.I got one last month, and so far so good. The Tazer has been around for a while with success on other Stellantis platforms. The DT offers a neat set of features for the RAM not readily available elsewhere unless you're an AlphaOBD superstar. Based on my experience, I trust the Tazer's feature adding capability more than my ability to program these feature via AlphaOBD.
My next challenge is the Pin Lock feature( my main reason for purchasing the Tazer), it didn't work for me last time (my fault I think), so I'm going to retry the process in a week or so.
What dealer did to fix it? I Have the same issue now, car still in a garageI had the same issue but I wasn’t pressing buttons and only had a few features enabled on tazor. Prior to this happening I had reached out to z automotive several times due to tazor PIN code not functioning properly They told me to run a recovery to make sure os firmware functioning….which I did. As soon as I did that the truck flashed off road management limited avoid aggressive driving. I reached out to z automotive again this time they quit responding. The next day I went to start truck and it said service trailer brake, system, service electronic stability control system and service electronic throttle control system. The truck had a red lighting bolt and all dash lights on. Including parking brake. The truck would only go 1 mph. I did unmarry tazor and tried disconnecting battery but that didn’t work. I had to tow truck to dealer. I seen that you did reinstall tazor. Have you had any further problems?
The person commented on a commend that was 3 years old, and made the account on the very same day and never came back. What dealer did to fix it? I Have the same issue now, car still in a garage
