Very Rough Ride on my 5th Gen

Just got my new 2019 Laramie non air ride, it seems to ride very ridged on paved road cracks.
Is there anything I can do to smooth it out some.
I did trade in my 2014 air ride 1500, for this new truck, and it was way smoother of a ride.

We need more information, what sized tires, manufacturer of the tires, what air pressure is in them...

Check you tire pressure. Overinflated tires will hit those cracks hard. Sometimes the new trucks come with max inflation pressure of the tire; that's too much. Your truck is about the same as mine; try 36 psi cold inflation pressure.

Welcome and congratulations on your new Laramie. Like others have said, first check your tire pressures. My non-air suspension Laramie rides very smoothly although, being a crew cab, does ride on a longer wheelbase.

Factory setting is at 36 PSI
275/55/20’s same wheel diameter as my 2014 was
I can’t run air suspension where I live to much -0 temps
Luckily I had the 2014 for four years here, but always had issues with the air pump at our -20 am below temps
So I went with non air ride

So factory tires, set to factory specs air wise. Next step would be to test drive another exact tire truck and see if it rides the same.

Have you driven a truck with lower profile tires like those? Shorter sidewall equals less compliance. Should soften up some with a big bull in the bed :D IMG_20180218_135641262_HDR.jpg
Nice TJ. Sold mine to buy my Ram. Gotta say I miss it, especially on those nice topless days.

how is the ride on non cracked roads? The non air ride ‘15 I owned prior and my current non air ride ‘19 ride beautiful.

take it back to the dealer and have them check the suspension, and while they are doing that go drive another similarly optioned truck for comparison.

the roads in my town are "chunky".

I'm in a non air ride laramie 19 and part of the reason I bought it was the ride was so much softer than my last car. on bumps it feels dicey, like the transition from road to driveway too fast.
