Has anyone run their truck on vroom this week? Just curious if up or down? I would imagine after the news this week, numbers should be going back up.

About 5 or 6 weeks ago both Carvana and Vroom were $48500. Vroom is down to $48000 and Carvana is now $45500. I have $47500 locked in as a trade value from the dealer I ordered the Limited from (should be in within two weeks).

Regardless of what you get for your trade, dealer greed is at an all time high with 95% of the dealers - except for those dealers recommended on this forum. Good luck negotiating for anything under MSRP as these dealers forget that economic bubbles are short but customer memories and impressions last a lifetime.
Second this ^. Oh by the way, today I emailed Aaron at Mark Dodge about a hemi Durango build. Took him at least 30 minutes to get back to me with a full order breakdown (2021, no 2022 builds yet) and the price was 5K below any other dealer I have checked with (lot vehicle with same basic options). So if you are in doubt, give him a try.
We may just end up with that SRT Durango yet.

Just read this on an automotive news site:
"General Motors has been prioritizing production of its popular and profitable full-size pickups and SUVs as it works to manage supplies of the key components.

The automaker has already made the unusual move of eliminate two fuel-saving features from some of the vehicles – engine start/stop and cylinder deactivation – and will now remove wireless mobile device charging pads from a few SUV trims, GM Authority first reported."

For anyone who cares, it seems that prices may be starting to decline. AutoNation had to lower the price on my ex 19" 4x Limited again, it's now $55,991 and they paid me $55,035. This is after 8 weeks on their lot, the costs of certifying it and replacing the starting battery.
Me thinks their pricing program goofed up, yet I'm one of the few who didn't get as much as he paid for it.

Even my local dealer, who'se knocking off a couple large from MSRP on 4x Limiteds, is only at $61,336 for new stock, so for the $6K difference I'd much rather have a brand new 2021 than someone's old 2019. with less than 1 year left on the warranty.

Saw this thread. I purchased my 19 1500 used last year around March below KBB. My truck now has 10,000 more miles on it and it's worth 10k more than I paid for it in my area. I've never had a vehicle increase in value like this before. It's definitely odd, but welcomed! I know the used car market will settle down, but it hasn't in my area yet.

Well, last Saturday I did it. I traded my 2019 Laramie Level 1 with 41,000 miles on it for a new 2021 Charger Scat Pack. I bought my truck for 38,000 in July 2020, with 29,000 miles on it. I put 12,000 miles on it in the year I had it, and got 40,000 dollars for it. It was an amazing truck, but now I am enjoying the "smiles per gallon"!

Plus this is just a stepping stone, working my way up to a Hellcat, and then going up to my ultimate goal, a TRX. So even though my Scat Pack is new, has a warranty, and 13 miles when I bought it, it's only temporary. 3D98E061-A229-4182-8C3D-C17F606F6F2E.jpeg

Ahh if it only were so simple! Drive the Scat a year and sell it for $10K more. Then get a hellcat, same thing.
End up with a 2024 TRX 1,000 hp V10 with 800 ft lbs of torque...
Well, we can dream, right?

My 2019 Ltd is still there at AutoNation, edit - 6 weeks now...

Salesman: I just paid $55K for this guy's truck, we can mark it up by $5K and it will fly outta' here."
Crickets for 6 weeks...
Manager: "Remember what you said six weeks ago? It's coming out of your check now..."
It's 10 weeks, yep, 10 and the mark up is $460 more than they paid me. Hmmm, not the best purchase they've ever made...

I traded in my truck last Saturday 7/17 and they gave me 39,300 for it. They listed it last week for 42,550. I happened to check their website today, and it's already been reduced down to 40,000! That's only a 700 dollar profit from what they gave me!

I traded my 2020 Laramie for 52,000 (paid 47.800 back in March 2020) . They certified it and priced it at 54,490. It's been there 2-1/2 weeks now at that price. I hope they make some money on it....they were good to work with and gave me a good price on the one I ordered upon trading.

I don't know....are people really paying these prices on used trucks? Man, I never would.

I plugged my almost new 21 Laramie into the Carvana website last week and was offered $44K and some change off of a $53K sticker price. I only have 2K miles on it so maybe prices are starting to go south again. Of course the fact that they asked how much I owed didn’t thrill me a whole lot since that figure is generally used against you to manipulate what they’re going to offer. Frankly I expected considerably more.

I haven't looked in a few months now since I sold mine back in May, but back then carvana was the lowest offer by a long shot for me between them and autonation/vroom. For any of them that asked about the payoff amount I always just left that blank, once I accepted autonations offer and informed them of the payoff it didn't change anything but I played it that way in case it did.

Thats a really quick price drop. Mine only dropped $500 a time, but it's been "several" times!

Its' officially gone off their website, took em' 10.5 weeks to get rid of it. Guess my poor baby was a loser for them!
I'd kinda' like to know if they had to auction it but whatever...

Here’s my old girl. Still on the lot, apparently. I sold it to them June 5 (or around there). They dropped the price by about $1,000 since it first appeared on their site. It’s still well above the $49,000 they paid me, so they’ve got room for additional cuts and still make a profit. I hope she finds a good home.

I think I had just about perfect timing, got lucky, and may have sold at the top of the market.
