The issue may be whatever that center plug goes to

I think it may go to the rear usb's. I'll have my center console apart next weekend so I'll check it out.

Mines the same way. I just left out the middle USB port. I've plugged in my phone to both USB ports and both USB-C and it works on all of them.

It must connect to the rear Media hub because mine doesn't work now.
