Under Hood Engine Compartment Light

A plastic insert would probably be too big for the light's mounting hole. I used what I had, a #10 or 12 metal screw, maybe bigger, can't remember.
I believe my 2023 has the same clover-leaf inserts holding the hood lining in. Is there any particular trick for getting these inserts out? I have a pretty good tool for removing inserts and I still can't these inserts out.

I tried several methods and tools. This type of tool was the only one that could consistently remove those hood liner inserts. Hood liner tool

That's the same tool I have, and it works well on many types of pins, but not these. Shown below, is the pin, and as you can see, that pin is not gonna want to come back out. Think I'll just try to cut them off.

They come out with that tool posted, I did myself 2 weeks ago.
You need to have 1 hand covering it as they go FLYING as soon as they pop. You need to use an excessive amount of force.
The clip will look damaged, but will fit and hold fine.
