I received a call from the dealership's collision center yesterday afternoon saying the truck was fixed and it's ready for pick up. I went and picked it up this morning and it looked as good as it did when I bought it. I guess it helps that they are Ram dealer and probably have the inside track on parts vs. Abra Auto Body or Maaco. Over $9,900 in parts and labor, all billed to the insurance company of the guy who hit me.
Some of the more interesting things to note is the tailgate, driver-side side panel, left side tailgate pin, and left LED taillight assembly were all replaced. The LED light alone was $1k
.
Anyway, my baby is back and I am happy.
I am now thinking of investing in a front & rear camera set up just in case something like this happens again. Not sure what I should go with though. I'll post photos of the repair work when I get a chance.
