Uconnect 5 Box requires service . . .

Interesting. It hasn't happened to me enough to go through a bunch of dealer BS. Take more than a handful of times for that. It works. For now.
It was Keller Bros. Dodge in Lititz Pennsylvania. Here is a copy of the report keep in mind that the radio module had been replaced by another dealer previously so that colud explain the loose connection but they said they have seen issues with the connection from the factory.

Since my last post, the error message has not come back. Now that I've jinxed it. I'll probably be back later. 🤷‍♂️

I was getting this error every time i started my truck for over a month. I recently received an OTA update and it hasn't come back yet.

@RamCares I’m having the same issue with my Ram—getting the “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer.” message every time I start the truck. Super frustrating. Can you help?

I had my truck in for an oil change and asked the dealer to check the Uconnect system. They ran a software update and it resolved the issue for me. Even though it showed the same version, maybe they had a slightly different build.

Its fixed. Google STAR case S2108000015. The PDF says how to fix it.
Leave push button to "run" for 39min. Connect it to your wifi in house. I cleared codes. Took for drive twice now, no more error.

Just to update this thread, I recently purchased a 2022 Limited with 15k miles and had both the "service Uconnect box" along with "satellite hardware error". I'm still under factory warranty and dropped truck off at dealer yesterday and I just received a phone call stating its fixed. They said all of my software was up to date, all connections to box were good, so they ended up replacing the antenna which removed all codes and now my XM radio works along with the Uconnect error message removed. It appears that these items may be connected for those of you still having issues.

Best part is I owe nothing for the repair!

I’m having issues with the radio in my 23. The radio has been staying on after opening the door, I’ll check the settings. More importantly, the music stops and it makes a loud buzzing noise for several seconds and then goes black and resets itself? It’s happened probably five times now. I have a video and happy to share. Thanks
