Two general questions

Update:

Nevermind, took it to the dealer and compared it to other trucks, they are all connected to the wiring harness.
Tech said if that's not connected, the noise cancelling system wont be enabled, they opened a star case to look into why its missing from the wiring harness.
What engine is in your truck? If it is a v6, it would not have ANC

its a Hemi W/ Etorque.
The AVC controller is there on the firewall but nothing is plugged into it.. puzzled the techs and service advisor.

Aha. Seems that a few people have experienced that problem recently. Hopefully yours is just missing a short harness that plugs in at both ends. Not a good feeling if they have to splice into the wiring on a new truck.

In case anyone runs into this same issue, the dealer finally realized the wrong harness was installed in the truck at the factory.
"Your truck has a wiring harness that should be in a truck without ANC"

so, they've ordered one, eta is about 3 weeks.

Any update as to what happened?

You left us hanging. I've been on the edge of my seat for three months now!

lol

They ordered the correct harness, which was going to take about 5 weeks to arrive, then found out it was also the incorrect part.
The service manager ordered the correct one himself, 4 more weeks.

In the meantime, i got tired of messing with it and traded the '22 in on a '23 laramie night edition.

Interesting fact, the 2023 models dont have the AVC controller box on the firewall, it was either moved or integrated into something else.
Thinking maybe my late 2022 somehow got a 2023 wiring harness by mistake, since that box is no longer there in the 2023 models.

Thanks for the closeout.

Wow, my wife thinks I'm impatient!
"Honey, I got tired of waiting on a part. It has been 2 months. I can hear road noise! I can't take it. I need a whole new truck!" 😆🤣

Hah, I'm single so i dont have to justify it to a wife :P

Probably a little extreme i have to admit. part of it was i didnt want to drive around in a $70k truck that had been torn apart to replace a main harness in, surely it would have been fine, just a mental thing.
