Turn Off Wireless Charger Pad

The limited trim comes with the Wireless Charging pad, Anyway to turn it off?

My phone dies not have wireless charging, I don't want to add to my phone as I plug in to use Android Auto anyway. Just want to turn it off so I can store my phone in that space without it blinking constantly.

If you review the wireless charger installation instructions (see link) you can figure out a way to disable the feature. Will require extensive disassembling of the console. My bias, keep it. Someone you give a ride to will use the feature, as will your next phone. In the mean time, cover the light in black tape.

Just slide the phone towards the left and it will cover the light.

Electrical tape won’t do a anything...it will charge though a thing case, so the thin barrier electrical tape has would have no effect.
That said, I don’t think the pad would effect a non wireless charging phone in any way.

My phone wasn't wireless charging capable either. Bought the $10.00 adapter on eBay for my phone, now I use the wireless pad in the truck.

Yes, OP just was annoyed by the flashing red light when you put a non-wireless charging phone on front of the charger.

There's a third option. Get a phone with inductive charging.

Always an option, waiting for the next Pixel version 5 to be released. Then can decide if I get a Pixel 4 or 5.

So am I understanding correct, that the right side of the phone holder pad doesn't have the charger behind it. I ask because I want to set a furrion camera there but the ram owners Manuel said somewhere not to set metal stuff like key fob on the phone charger pad

According to the 2019 schematics, you can pull F48 in the interior power distribution center and the charger will be de-energized.
HOWEVER. It will also take out:
Automatic rain-sensing wiper function
Power to inside rear view mirror
Passenger door window lock function
Front USB charging port.

Might be better to just live with it.

I'm Definitly not doing that haha. I just found this thread and figured I'd ask here because I'd like to set my furrion camera in that phone holder but the book says not to set stuff there like key fobs, thats why I was wondering about De energizing it
