Just figured I’d lend my experience as I know people are often curious about this swap. My TRX donor rims were 2018 take offs with minimal wear. Factory tires as well.

I went with motofab puck spacers for a 2” level up front and changed the stock upper control arms to Zones. Did the work myself, but Zones were $500 ish and the pucks are $60.

I got 1.5” spacers. I wanted as small of a spacer as possible, but 1/2” wasn’t gonna do it and I did not want to swap for elongated bolts. I went with KSP’s I got off of Amazon. After bolting the wheels on with these spacers I had about 1/2” to 3/4” of clearance from the upper control arm. Zones are beefier than stock so that probably has something to do with it.

All in all I’m very pleased with this swap! Looks fantastic, feels solid, and I only had to do the minor trimming / mud flap delete that seems pretty common when moving to 35’s. These tires are just WIDE so the 1.5” spacer is necessary in my view.

They look really good!

How bad was the handling & acceleration effected?

How much did the MPG drop?
Thanks!

I have not noticed a difference in handling or acceleration. I don't drive the truck super hard most of the time so it's been negligible to me. MPG has been slightly affected. 1 mpg max less. I do a mix of freeway and street driving, don't push her too hard most of the time, and occasionally go off road. The truck is in 2wd 80% of the time.
