I'm curious of this as wel if you did end up getting spacers. Planning to pick up some TRX wheels this week hopefully. Id prefer no spacers so may go with 275/70R18 tires, maybe that will give me a little more space between the control arms.

They will be a perfect fitment.

I will post a photo of my car in couple of minutes as I’m driving right now.

Installed the motofab 3” front & 2” rear leveling kit, with Rough Country UCA, and a 2” spacers.

I have ordered the carli performance package on its way

My tires are 295/70/18

275/70 or 285/65 wont rub at all.

I had the rubbing with the spacers on full turns
I had to clear the uca as it was rubbing with the tires

That looks really good. Wasn't planning to lift or level the truck but now I want to.....

It looks like the stock upper control arms with 18" TRX wheels and 12.5" wide tires MAY clear depending on the specific tires but I wouldn't chance it. The space may be so small that upon full extension of the suspension, the upper control arm may contact the tire.

I have a 3.5" (Rough Country) lift on my 2020 Bighorn using their aftermarket upper control arms and their drop-in front spring/struts. The 18" TRX wheel with 325x 65/18 Goodyear Wrangler Territory ATs (12.5" width) WOULD NOT FIT (and would rub the upper control arm) without wheel spacers. With the wheel spacers, when the suspension is fully extended, there's about .5" of clearance of the control arm.

Oh and the 1.5" spacers push the wheels out of the wells a little bit and IMO, make it a bit more beefy looking.

whao i actually havnt been getting notification from this post at all, i loved the trx rims and i think it looked amazing however due to the control arms being too close to my tires setup i ended up going with fuel rebel 6 instead of spacers, i still have them and maybe in the future ill do a swap and toss some spacers in 😫

My TRX wheels should be here next week but I’m actually not planning to get tires till maybe June/July. I’ll likely go 275/70/18 to avoid any issues getting to close to control arms and I’ll skip the spacers. I love how the bigger tires look but I literally almost never off road and I like my 26-29mpg hahaha. So hopefully I don’t kill it to bad.

Had my TRX wheels installed today with a set of good year ultra terrains from discount tire. Went with stock OD 265/75/18 at the last minute. Didn’t want to spend extra $$ on spare or possible lift/level. Happy with how it turned out so far. Got 50k miles out of stock set and sent them off with a burnout for the kids! 0CB1346E-675F-42DF-AC55-E3ADE4AA0172.jpeg 6BBD427C-1ADA-400B-8A98-904EFC12D7F5.jpeg B2E21C95-F279-4DF5-AF5B-62FEF919EEE2.jpeg

How much trimming did you have to do with the 1.5 spacers? and did it rub?

I am curious if anyone has tried to run trx wheels and tires on a Laramie or Limited with air suspension. Height can be changed with alfaobd, just curious about the uca

I think that it turned out awesome with the smaller tires and stock ride height no spacers. I'm leterally planning to do the exact same thing. Any chance you can take a picture of the clearance you have at the control arm with that size tire? Debating between the 265/75/18 and the 275/70/18. Your truck looks sick.

Even running the stock size it’s pretty tight. Can’t get my fingers between then. Not the best picture. Maybe 1/4-3/8” 9F1F8008-0B02-404A-B5A8-DF910C87327A.jpeg

They say "clearance is clearance" in the machinist world! I think it works here also. I'm curious what is the stock tire size your running? I tried looking up tires with the size from your earlier post where you said you ended up going with 265/75/18 and I don't see any tires that come with those specs... Is it possible your running 275/65/18? Thanks for you help on this. I just ordered a 1500 2023 Limited Patriot Blue night edition with the off road package (gives you an extra 1" of lift with the heavy duty shocks). Unfortunately they still give you the 22" rims which are completely useless to actually go off road. So I'm going to replace the rims and tires as soon as it come in. I really want to go with the TRX rims like you did but I am thinking I could always do the night edition Rebel rims if I can't find tires that clear.

Thanks again!

Yes, that was a typo earlier unfortunately. Running stock size from what's on a Bighorn, 275/65/18. With that extra 1'' you should have no issue going with a bigger OD, width is the issue here without spacers. If you go 285 you will be dam close, 295 will likely hit. At the time of buying I was about to go 275/70/18 but decided not to mess around and keep the OD the same as the stock 275/55/20. Also was looking at pricing, going to that larger size (275/70/18) at the time would cost me another $120ish and I didn't care to spend more.
I liked how the stock TRX tread pattern looked so that's why I did these ultraterrians, they seem to be the exact same pattern. On the Goodyear territory AT (what's on the TRX) the tread pattern completely changes once you choose a size that's different from the TRX. No one who rides in my truck complains or even notices the road noise, I do. Next set might be a bit less aggressive now that its out of my system.....or not.
I would watch FB marketplace for TRX wheels and finally found some without tires. Most of what I was finding was people dumping the wheels and tires but I didn't want to mod the truck. I've seen them as cheap as $500 for the set of wheels only, I unfortunately already paid $800.

Spent a good amount of time with this calculator playing games with different comparisons.
