TRX Order Lead time

Hello RamForums,

I’m waiting on a Level 2 TRX that’s basically fully loaded that I ordered in December 2021 (12/18/2021) and it has been 4 months and no movement. Still no build date.

I wanted to create a thread and see how long everyone waited for their TRX? I’m guessing 4-6 months due to the supply chain issues going around. Should I expect my truck between May and June?

I know there are parts shortages, but my local dealer has had two TRX’s sitting on the lot for over a month now.

I just submitted a build for a new rebel that is identical to the one in my signature and eta was 3-4 months. I’ve already gotten a VON and the build was approved. Parts have to be allocated now and then the build starts.

There were certain options that were available on the website building tool but weren’t available to choose at the dealers build level, tonneau cover and comfort and convenience were two of them. Also blind spot monitoring was unavailable on the dealers build sheet. Chances are one small option is holding up the whole truck.

@RajD1992 you might want to check out ram-trx.com. They have their own tracking and threads about lead times, they've been all over the place. Some people are waiting like you and others place an order and have their trucks in a couple of months.

Here are some charts showing what the TRX member orders look like (using today's post). It's much more hit-and-miss than the regular DT models. As you can see below (looking at the red dots), some orders from June 2021 have only recently been built. Still a fair amount of November-December orders waiting as well.

For any truck ordered now, you could expect a build date anywhere from "soon" to August/September (when they'll likely finish up the 2022's and start working on 2023's).

Shipping is a major issue right now. Our TRX finished the build process on 03/08 and staged for shipping on 03/10. It sat in a lot until 03/30 when it was moved to a different lot. It may still be in that lot but the system was hacked so my dealer can't see where it is. He did say on 04/27 the status changed indicating it is on the rail now but has no idea if that is accurate or not because the system is still not up from being hacked. For reference we ordered on 11/16/21

Congrats! Ours was also ordered November 21. Built 03/08 and is somewhere in never never land. They claim it's on a train but still no ETA and they can't say where said train with our truck is. lol

march 13th build sheet ... march 19th window sticker ... arrived at dealer 5/02 ... about 6 weeks shipping time to dealer...

We were March 8th build. March 10th window sticker. Truck still hasn’t been delivered. We did get notified that the truck arrived to the rail yard in Phoenix today though. They are hoping to get approval to expedite delivery to the dealership and for us to take delivery of the truck next week.
