Wasn’t sure where to post this since I don’t know what’s causing the issue. Let me preface by saying I love my truck! I’m having an issue where the truck vibrates when my foot is on the brake under 2 mph when I’m sitting in traffic, or backing up. I’ve heard it referred to as “Creep mode,” where the vehicle moves when in gear. You can physically feel yourself vibrating forward and back though! It’s driving me friggin nuts. It may have started when I got my leveling kit put on, but honestly I can’t be sure. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you're applying inadequate pressure on the brake pedal.

Sure, that is probably what's going on, but why would it cause shaking. Sitting in traffic is pretty unavoidable. When I drive my wife's Jeep it doesn't do it. I do have the "howling" brakes issue, so maybe when they replace the caliper pins and pads it will fix the issue. Not sure what else it could be. An alignment, and a flash update did not fix the issue.

Same issue it gets on my nerves.

Have you had it looked at? They had to order the parts for the TSB issue re the rear brakes, so I'll have to wait to see if that fixes it. I feel bad for you, but it is nice to see someone else with the issue...makes me feel like I'm not going nuts!!

It's TSB Number 05-001-19. Involves rear brake noise (basically a squeal or howling noise when backing up, usually in the morning). Mine sounds like when you rub your finger around a crystal glass...you get that "howling" noise.

@DonsRam19 Just following up, did you get the “truck shake when letting foot off brake slowly” issue fixed or looked at? I’m still waiting on rear brake parts!!!

My truck has the pulsing brakes at really low speed. I really only notice it when I'm in heavy traffic, just inching forward.

It was worse when when I first bought the truck. It seems to be less noticeable now that I have 1,100+ miles on it. Still there though.

Hi DM-SC,
We suggest having your dealer look into this if it continues to happen. You may also send us a private message if you would like any assistance during that process.

Do you ever notice it even when your foot is off the brake? Sometimes I’ll still feel that shaking/hesitation feeling when my foot is all the way off the brake, when the truck is trying to go under it’s own power from 1-2mph. Can’t figure out if the brakes are sticking or something, or if it’s something else.

I can't say for sure. I know for sure it does it with light pressure on the pedal.

I just noticed my brand new truck doing the same thing while in slow reverse. No noise but it shakes and shimmys a little when backing up at less than 2mph. Started doing it forbthe first time today. I have less than 200 miles on the truck. What gives?

Take it back to the dealer..... This is a known problem it probably needs new rotors and brake pads got.... The TRD brake pads are defective

That tsb for the rear brakes is for trucks built before Sept. 24 2018. Mine did the same shaking and it was built end of Feb/early March.
