Yes no cost but hope there won’t be anymore problems after they put the new one in
I'm the owner that had a bad cast Gondul referenced above. Took about 15 days total to get tranny replaced. A few of those were diagnosis and getting FCA to approve, some time to get it shipped in, then install, road test, etc.
So far so good with new transmission. I've put on maybe 750 miles so far. On the upside, new tranny will have the latest programming installed.
It's disappointing of course and I feel your pain, but I'm a lot happier with a transmission that isn't weeping fluid on the garage floor.
I would recommend you contact Ram Customer Service. Give them the info, etc. They can track the shipment of your new tranny, put a little pressure on your dealer to ensure it happens quickly, and ensure you get a loaner or covered rental. I really had great luck with my agent and she called me about every day with updates, etc so I didn't come off as a jerk at the dealer, she did.
Good luck. If there is any info I can provide, let me know.
