The Ferd fans who haven't even figured out that Ram and Dodge split years ago, would swear that's not true.
But you're right, ZF makes good stuff.
Yeah its going to take a while before Ram can shake that paradigm of horrible transmissions from the past. Every Ram hater on the web likes to proclaim it. The fact of the matter is that its the same tranny that backs some of the M series BMWs, Alfa quadrifoglios and Astin Martin DB11. All cars with 500+ HP / 500 + lb-ft and meant for track time.

Took it in to dealer this AM. After their initial look, yes some sort of oil leak.

Told it would be tomorrow before I will hear anything definitive. On the upside gave me a loaner without any hesitation. On the downside it is an ugly, stripped newish Wrangler. Painful after the comforts of the new Limited and my previous trucks.

Hi Boozygoose,
We're glad that your dealer is actively working on a solution for you. If any additional assistance is needed, you may send us a private message and we'll be happy to have a case escalated on your behalf.

Same... someone in a other thread mentioned that the Dealer told them the Transmission fluid was green... I was "pfft.. sure". Did some searching and yeah.. the damned stuff is green...
Similar to Schaeffer's engine oil, little more blue in it though. My only other experience with green oil

As an update to this thread that has gone all over the place, the dealer, to their credit, had the truck back to me by 5PM on Friday, so less than 36 hours.

Yes, rear main seal leak. Replaced, oil topped off, road test and cleaned. Assured it is good as new, or in this case, better than new.

Hopefully just an isolated incident & truck will be flawless going forward.
After driving home and sitting in garage overnight, nice and clean, no oil knock on wood.

Thanks to all for the help!!

Immersivinc had this same leak.. Was a rear main seal leak identical to yours. So you are the second person on this forum to have this issue.

Yes, I had the same issue. Rear main seal. Amazing you got yours back so quickly, mine was in the shop for this about 15 days. Unacceptable on a brand new vehicle - the repair procedure is very invasive.
