Train horn install

I’m sure this question has been asked before but I can’t find all the discussions, has anyone installed train horns on the 5th gen with out removing the spare tire?

I have to wait a bit for the weather to warm up. I will be moving my
Nathan Airchimes from my '08 Big Horn over to the '21 Laramie Ecodiesel.
I will be adding On Board Air with a Sanden SD7H15 Clone converted to

My wife bought me a train horn for Easter. I may just install it on my 71 Nova. Too many electronics I'm worried about messing up on the Ram.

I used two Airlift Aluminum Air Tanks mounted to the Frame rails
under the Cab on the '08 Big Horn. They claim they are 5 gallons,
but only calculate out to 4.3 each. I run them at 200 PSI.

I wore out the Viair 480C I was using. Then I converted the York 210
AC compressor and made the brackets for the HEMI.

I have a shocker 6 under my truck with a 5 gallon tank and still have my spare. The only option I don’t have that takes up room under the truck is the 33 gallon tank I have the 26 gallon so that space is where my 5 gallon tank is mounted.

does anybody have installed a trainhorn at the front of his Gen5? There is more than enough space behind the front bumper. I've installed several under a Gen4, but didn't see the space at the front under a Gen5. Hope somebody already installed is overthere. thnx.

Can you tell me more about the brackets/mounts you used? Custom made? How is the pump holding up exposed to the elements?

The tank is welded under there. The compressor is mounted to the bracket that Hornblasters sells for it and It’s bolted in place. The compressor is tucked up along the frame in a spot where it isn’t too terribly exposed but I did get a compressor that is weather resistant because I knew I wanted it to be under the truck. I had a 2 gallon tank at first and upgraded to a 5 gallon one. That one in the picture is the 2 gallon and the new tank is in the same spot. I have 2 more horns under the drivers door area and 2 more in front of the spare tire.

You are not afraid of what you are doing to the frame from high-cycle metal fatigue with all those horns?

Installed mine in the Ram Box….horns themselves are underneath the truck.
