Trailer Camera Prewire

So I looked under truck this am and it appears it came from factory with both bumper and bed attached with a splitter cable is my best guess with all the wrapping pic

If there's a splitter cable, could you get the part number?

Also interested to see pics. My 2020 3500 with XFQ definitely doesn't have the bumper 12-pin harness plugged in, it's capped off and zip tied to the other harness.

Here's what is under my truck.

Yea, those are the trailer plug connections you posted.

My pic shows where those pigtails plug into the body harness that runs to the front. Only one is plugged in unless they added a Y cable.

So wouldn't it be great if someone could develop a module that would plug into the trailer camera wiring such that it would bring a left turn image or a right turn image onto the 12" screen when the turn signals are activated.
It would require two separate cameras, each mounted at their respective corners of the trailer.

Anybody out there that has the necessary electronics skills?

The NAViKS box does that with the factory tow mirror cams in the 360° but they simulate button presses on turn signal sense and it cycles through a few screens before it gets there. It's not super laggy, but I don't really like it much anyway - at least not on the truck mirrors.

I'm looking at purchasing a 2017 ram. If a non-RAM wiring kit\camera is used, is there a way make it work with the factory radio? I'm assuming some software update would be required?

Any updates to this? Maybe the Naviks stuff? I've got a 21 Ram 1500

I’m interested in this as well. Just got a 2021 Ram 1500 with the 12” u connect. Has the tow package but not trailer cam pre wire. Looking to add a trailer camera and potentially a front camera if it’s possible.

Bought 21 1500 Limited and would like to add trailer camera and integrate into surround view on the 12". I believe this is possible with the 22 1500's but I did not see an option for the 21's. Will any of the options discussed here do that? What's different about the 2500 kit that would not work for the 1500? Is it a software thing?
I do have the technology package with electronic rear-view display, so it would be great if the trailer cam would show up there as well.

What will it take to add a trailer camera to my 1500 that does not have the pre-wire package for the trailer wiring?
