Anyone know the stock TPMS range on a limited with 285/45r22’s? My stock pirelli tires show 36psi on the door placard but I want to know when the alarm will trip if over and under inflated. Can I air up to the max sidewall pressure (50psi) if I am towing a load without tripping the sensor? If I use an aftermarket E rated tire should I increase the max psi to 80 based on the max sidewall pressure?

Well, it's not going to trip any alarm if it's overinflated. I know that for a fact because the last time I had my tires rotated and balanced, they overinflated my tires by a lot. It was about 50 PSI on all of them. So I had to deflate them to the proper PSI.

I believe from the factory the TPMS light will trip for a low pressure warning at 28-29 psi. I don't think there is an over inflated warning.

I have read that as well. In hindsight I prob wouldn’t set it to max psi off the sidewall. Perhaps only 5 psi over whatever the stock max setting is.

20% below the door placard pressures is when the warnings will trip.

Maybe the max setting is what trips the inflation assist then?

The alarm should go off at 7-8 psi below the door sticker inflation, no alarm if over inflated AFAIK.
