Topdon J2534 Programmer for updates

They advertise this works with paid subscriptions. Has anyone used this to update software like a newer powertrain engine or transmission software on a newer Ram 1500?

I have a 21’ 1500 and I’m sure there are newer updates available for different systems and wondered if this would be an option vs going to the dealer?

I know for sure that the topdon rlink 2534 pass thru is compatible with witech 2, and you can use witech subscriptions and flash tokens to flash modules through it.

An update for anyone who might find this helpful. I was able to use the Topdon J2534 with witech2. You need to buy 3 subscriptions for about $130 to update modules. I updated about 9 modules and my truck functions better than ever. Improved transmission response, engine, my dreaded park brake won’t release and have to disconnect the battery is now fixed etc. well worth it to me.
