I had one TPMS sensor stop working. Local shop replaced it and everything was good for awhile. Now I’m getting random sensors dropping out, including the one they changed.

I have Jscan so trying to use it to troubleshoot. Not sure exactly what data to look for, and is it a sensor problem or the rf hub. @Jimmy07 i hope you can help!

Here’s some screen shots from the last time it happened on my way home today. Thanks everyone!

Hi there, should you choose to visit the dealership regarding this concern feel free to send our team a private message for support.

If it was the RF hub, wouldn’t my key fob not work? Idk where the antenna is or if the TPMS has a separate antenna

The battery life of a TPMS sensor is about 7 years, if one was going out, likely the rest will follow. The aftermarket ones are hit and miss. To fix your problem, buy the OEM ones, there are brick and motor Stellantis dealerships that sell parts wholesale on Ebay, you can probably find a set there for much cheaper than dealer.

The other option is to get them from American / Discount Tire stores. They can order and install the OEM TMPS sensors, again for much cheaper than the dealer will charge you.

Thsnks for replying! Pretty sure it’s aftermarket. Could it be interfering with the others?
could be bad quality.
get a set of OEs and see what happens. (aka, do what @SD Rebel says)
it's cheaper than jump straight to the RF Hub lol

As of now, it’s constantly shows 3 sensors out, including the new one. Only the left front shows anything.

I’ll probably make a visit back to the shop as ask if they could put OE sensors if I bring them. Thanks!

I put OE sensors in mine when I changed tires and 1 is usually always out, sometimes a second one, sometimes they come back, and they always move around to different positions. I actually set my tire pressures different at each corner and verified the sensors were showing the wrong locations. So don't just trust the sensor that is showing bad is where it's showing. I haven't fixed it at this point, probably need to start with new sensors again, but will most likely just disable TPMS in JScan at this point.

Was thinking about disabling the system entirely as well. If you wouldn't providing the steps, that would be amazing!

The option is there in JScan if you have the bypass cable, can't recall the exact menu, but it was pretty easy to find.
