The Stellantis Hurricane Is a 500-Plus-HP Straight-Six Hemi Replacement

Sure it makes power in one direction, but not the other. Smaller displacement turbos usually have a negative effect on engine braking. Coming down long grades there will be less control and more strain on the brakes

One last comment....if this engine has a lot of problems it might get called the Hurry-cane!

I wonder what pricing is going to look like for this.
It's a $3500 option on a Wrangler over the base engine, and $2260 over the Pentastar, I suspect it will be about the same cost or a little less than the Hemi if they bring it to the Ram lineup...

That’s the turbo diesel V6, not the new turbo gas I6. You won’t find the Hurricane on the build and price sites for a while.

Hahaha...oops. That's what I get for replying to a post during a meeting. Thanks for the correction jimothy!

Better than what I usually do: make an oops at work because I’m busy reading 5GR instead of paying attention to the meeting! 🤪

In fact, I was in a meeting when I saw your post and I got excited: what?!? This engine is already up, and in the Wrangler? No way!

No way, indeed!
