Finally got all the black badges, sport hood bezel and taillights done. Then got rid of those awful license plate holes on the front bumper. I tried buying the night edition of this truck, but there were none within a 150 mile radius at the time.

Those holes in the bumper drive me nuts. How did you fix them?

Damn that looks good! I just ordered the black badging for mine. How do you remove the hood bezel?
I only ordered the RAM letters for the grill, is that what you did? How hard is it to get them off? I didn't order the piece behind the letters, maybe I should have?
I already debadged the doors and tailgate. Thanks.

One more question- what did you do with the tail lights, are those the factory black ones?

Thanks,

The Laramie one on tailgate is the only one I haven't found, where did you find it?

Regarding the front bumper plugs, I'm pretty sure there is a member here that sells them painted. Chrome ones can be had at Lowes, 4 were about $4.00

I bought stainless steel carriage bolts to put in my chrome front bumper, bought them at Lowes, but had to grind the shoulder off to get them to fit, they do look good.

Nice looking truck - good job.

Here is the amazon link. And a close up pic. I just went to pep boys and got the dupli-color spray paint that matches my paint code, 3 coats followed by 4 coats of clear.

Here is the Laramie badge I bought. Buy with confidence, the guy overnighted me one at no charge when the usps lost the first one. Then of course the original one showed up after almost 2 weeks. It is metal, and much harder to remove than the plastic badges, so be sure to get a lot of heat on it, fishing line to cut through the adhesive, and twist it off, don’t pull it from one end cuz it’s thicker and stronger than the tailgate and you don’t want to leave a dent in your tailgate.

Thanks! I didn’t remove the whole bezel. I removed just the 1500 hemi plates. It’s held in with the same adhesive as the rest of the badges on the truck, with no clips (only 2 pins for guidance). Plasti dipped them to match, and it came out perfect. I originally did it with it on the bezel, but it was a pain in the *** to peel so i removed them and bought new 3m molding tape.

The front Ram pieces were pretty easy to remove. Heat them up, and get a thin plastic prying tool and just pop them off. I got them all off without breaking any tabs. I know some people had issues, but the key is heat.

Taillights are not factory. Those are plasti dip as well, and does not interfere with the blind spot sensors at all. I could have painted them with vht, but i like the matte black look cuz it blends in with the badges and trim better.

Hope this helps!

Just realized I had this picture and it might be helpful for your front letters. You can see where the clips are, and the piece they clip into does not need to be removed, just the letters themselves.

Speaking of little things ...

My Limited badge on the rear of my truck came incorrectly aligned, with the L lower than the rest of the “imited” - Can’t decide if it’s endearing or annoying.

Truck looks great - love the black badges on the white and bumper plugs is on the list of to-dos now, thanks!
