The HEMI V8 Is Back: 2026 Ram 1500 Brings Power and Choice

Yeah for bringing back the Hemi.
Boooo, for ET.
Booo for ugly badge. :D

My 2 cents is it won't really help unless they address the price tag issue.

All they need is the normal incentives that all big truck manufacturers (except Toyota) offered before the Covid Market, pre-2020.

I'm talking about 15% off the bat, and 25% during end of quarter sales, which was normal for decades and big part of the truck buying process.

2026 Ram 1500 HEMI V8 Returns With eTorque And Bold New Strategy

View attachment 201823

Ram is officially bringing back one of the most iconic engines in modern truck history. After widespread backlash over discontinuing the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 for the 2025 model year, Ram has announced the return of the legendary engine for the 2026 Ram 1500 lineup.

The decision to reinstate the HEMI wasn’t made in a boardroom vacuum; it was sparked by overwhelming demand from loyal customers. According to Ram brand CEO Tim Kuniskis, the brand is not only acknowledging the mistake of removing the V8 but also turning that misstep into a rallying point.

I just wish they would bring it back without E-Torque!

That's assuming you don't have to deal with the engine lights these Hurricanes seem to be having right now. Then there is the question of their long-term durability, the 5.7L Hemi isn't perfect but its issues are well known as is it's general durability.
