Not sure why this started happening, but my end gate latch doesn't want to open most times. I have to hit the button, bump the tailgate, etc then try again.

I put on a seal kit when I got it. Worked fine until now.

Any thoughts?

I have had mine do that a few times recently. It seemed to start happening after I had taken my tonneau cover off any put it back on. I could hear the mechanism in the tailgate when I pressed the button, but it would not open.

I think I had the cover back a little further than before and the seal was putting a little more rearward pressure on the tailgate.

I found if I applied a little forward pressure to the tailgate when I pressed the button it would open.

I have since moved the cover slightly forward and don't believe it had done it since.

Perhaps something has shifted and is applying more pressure to your tailgate.

Thanks. I'll have to play around a bit. This is exactly the same as mine.

Hi wildh24,
We understand why this may be frustrating. If this continues and you decide to have your dealer address this, please feel free to send our team a private message. We would be happy to add assistance throughout this process.
