Hi, has anyone experienced the tailgate door coming completely off? As I closed the door the bottom right side of the Door came undone and then the left side did. If it wasn’t for my son the door would have hung completely down and probably ripped the wires. And would have fell to the ground. In the process my sons finger was hurt. Crazy!

That’s insane.

Happened to me twice. Both my fault. Anything left in the bottom crack of the tailgate will pop it off.
In my case I left a bungee cord twice accidentally. Just not paying attention, now I always look.

I had the bottom right corner come undone when I was slamming the tailgate when I was mad after putting a ding in the side of the truck at the dump. It didn't come completely off but I was surprised. I make sure nothing's stuck in there now when I go to put the tailgate up. And I don't get mad at the tailgate - though it all worked out nice as the PDR guy took the ding completely out such that I don't even know where it was any more. :)
