Have a 2019 Limited 4x4 with 3.92 gearing, was going to tow a camper out west but things have change. Do highway miles just the wife and I so would like the 3.21 gear for mileage. Only get 15-16 flat driving 72-3 mph At just over 2000 rpm. Guy I know has a 2 wheel drive 1500 with 3.21 says he get 21+ mpg at 75 mph. Does this sound about right?
Changing gears is not cheap front drive unit is plug and play you an not change the gearing, 1500 or so for just the front gearbox. Might be cheaper to trade truck.
