I’ve read several member have had issues with loose sway bar links causing a rattle. I think I’ve developed this condition. Can someone tell me which end link bolts seems to be the culprit? (Top or bottom) I’ve check torque on the bottom ones and they are to spec....the top ones will require a little more effort (removing front tires).

thank you in advance!

I would suspect the issue is with the top bolts. I tightened one in my driveway by turning the wheel all the way in the opposite direction from the noise. I believe you will need an 8mm wrench to hold the bolt and and 18mm wrench to turn the nut (it may be 21mm).

Mine were replaced under warranty after the truck was 6 months old. It was the joint itself on one side causing the noise. They showed me the parts and one was completely dry (no grease) from the supplier. Haven't had any reoccurrence of the problem.

Best regards,
Dusty

Mine is at dealership for front passenger side clunk and they diagnosed it as bad strut so ordered it but, it is back ordered for at least two weeks.

Just one side was bad. They replaced both under warranty as a precaution.

Well folks, I got the truck back today and after further diagnosis to the front clunk noise they are saying it is front passenger side sway bar link and not the strut and it's on order.
