I also read another thread talking about even a fractional amount of current will cause these to glow even when the truck is off. Does that happen to you with these?

I installed headlight LEDs in a previously owned 2006 Tundra. The left headlight would dimly flicker continuously with everything off.

Swapped back the OEM element and no flicker. I figured there was a small current on that headlight circuit that wasn’t enough to fire off the halogens, but did show up with the much more efficient LED.

Drove the neighbors crazy

I've used JDM ASTAR bulbs in my headlights, reverse lights, third brake lights, interior lights etc. and there output is INSANE, so bright with a white crisp light output. There customer service is also great and very helpful. They're the only LED company off of Amazon I'll order from.

Over Achiever!

Now have to convince the wife farkling up my truck is generally a good thing.

Farkle: The word is generally accepted to mean a combination of "function" and "sparkle", hence, farkle.

Motorcycle enthusiasts may install accessories, called farkles (also spelled farkel), to customize their machine.

JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 2000 Lumens 360-Degree Shine 921 912 90-EX Chipsets LED Bulbs For Backup Reverse Lights, Xenon White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GGK6QDW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_fENVCbD3B2MQQ
Order today, shipped today, installed today...love Amazon Prime!

Thanks for the link and holy cow can even tell a difference in the daylight!

Replaced cargo lights and 3rd brake light too...order 3 sets and will do the back up lights tomorrow.

Was worried the flash on press on the 3rd brake light might not work, but it did.

EDIT:
Went to install the reverse light in the tail and already have the LED lights back there. They are still so dim though when trying to back up. The new cargo lights should help though. Haven't tried yet in the dark.

Pretty sad the LED light set in back is so dim though.

Third time RAM owner first time 5th gen post. I wanted to leave this here. I installed LED cargo lights and also replaced the brake light with the following:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FJPBQ3P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Once I installed the red LED I noticed that my key fob was not being detected during startup. I would get the key fob not detected and had to press the key against the start to turn the truck on. This happened for a day a 1/2. I did some research and learned that some LED lights with processors (or whatever they call it) can mess with near field. I removed the red light, left the white LED lights,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GGK6QDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and all is working as normal again.

Going to chalk this up to lessons learned.

Well this is interesting. I have some fob detection issues periodically. But never have to hold directly on start button. And I did replace all 3 bulbs with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078MR9XJF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I wonder if they are causing any issues....

I know I covered this in another thread...
I used these for the cargo lights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LX4FMD1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
...and I used this red strobe LED for the brake light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JJZQWKT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They all work. No codes or weird behavior.

My only complaint is that the white LEDs have a yellowish tint when they're not on, so you can see them through the lens. When they're on, all you get is bright white light and plenty of it.

My issue was with the red led brake light that I installed. I could get the truck to start if I held the key real low under the steering wheel but once I would hit the break I would get the notification that the key fob is not present or not detected or something to that extent. The white LED cargo lights were a different brand and no issues at all when starting the truck. I also tried installing the Red LED back and the key fob issue started right back up. I have read posts that if the LED, cheaper quality, is not shielded properly this could cause this issue.

So are these what your'e using in the cargo lights inside the 3rd brake light? Are there only two of them?

Just want to be sure these aren't what you're using for reverse lights.

Thanks!

B
I used the 2 and I haven't done them in the reverse lights but I wish I could make the reverse lights brighter!
