Have a 2019 1500 crew cab short bed with ORP and 3.21 ratio. Looking to get into some light-medium off roading and was wondering if the 20’s would be fine or if I should get a set of 18’s. Also if I should go with the 18’s, I was reading that a lot of 18” rims don’t fit on the 5th gen’s so was wondering if there is a way to know if a specific set will fit or not before actually buying.
Was also wondering if adding the Mopar lift along with bigger tires would be too much of a strain on the 3.21 ratio.
Thanks!

Having more sidewall is always advisable for offroading, and there are plenty of 18 inch rims that fit... including ones from Ram themselves. Most Rebel owners with aftermarket wheels are still riding on 18's.

You should be fine with the 3.21 rear end, but there might be some performance loss if you do a lift and go with 35's for example.

I went with rebel 18s and 285/70r18. But better ride. Also have a bilstien 5100 level which made it even better.

My current setup is 2019 1500 with 20’ and have 285/60R20 KO2s. I didn’t feel like trying to buy wheels yet so I’ve been happy with them. Smaller wheel size is usually better for more “meat” on the tire since you can air down more.
