I have a 2022 Ram 1500 with 10,000 miles . The steering wheel sticks to the left when I go around tight curves and it does not return to center without much effort to correct it. This is very scary to me. I am so disappointed.
Took it to the dealership but they didn't determine the issue.
Anyone with this problem?

Don't have that problem, but I've heard there were problems with some of the steering racks. Do a search or others may be able to chime in with details.

You must have the built for NASCAR edition.
What…too soon?

Did you have it since new? Just start? Any recent mods or repairs (tires, brakes, shocks, lift kit, etc.)?
Any chance it’s stuck in 4wd? Do you feel any lurching by the tires? Only when going left, not right?

Some early 5th gens had rack issues. I don't know what the dates were, when they changed something, but there are other threads about it that you can check.

I ordered it from the factory and I received it in July 2022. It's a Ram 1500 Limited, 2 WD. It doesn't have any of the things you mentioned. I only noticed it only when going left around 55 mph curves .
It was Really bad on a recent trip to Seattle on the 5 North. There are some serious curves on this highway at High elevations especially in the Shasta area. The steering wheel seems to get stuck at the 11 o'clock position and it doesn't return to the center without my input to correct it. I would then experience a wobble to the vehicle after trying to keep it on the road.
Thanks for your reply.

Wow - Blue, thats incredibly dangerous. Get it into your dealer and lean on them about it !

Whoa.. Yeah, I took that as wouldn’t come back like in a parking lot or slow speed.
Yeah, agreed, dangerous …. I’d definitely get it in.

Hey, i just joined this group. I have a 2021 warlock and i noticed my steering sticks at low speeds when trying to turn left or right. I have an appointment tomorrow at the dealership. I currently have 120,000 kms and bought this truck new in Feb.2021. I hope its nothing serious since i no longer have a warranty. Are you experience this?

Absolutely. I have read many threads about people having this issue with many Ram trucks. Sometimes I feel like the truck will simply go off the road. I don't drive it anymore . There's only one dealership in my area and they couldn't find the problem. The other dealership is 50 miles away. We'll I think it's very serious and downright dangerous. People paid way too much for these vehicles. Hope your dealership can fix your truck.

Truck was bought new, 2 years ago. Did it always have this issue, or just start?
I’d be damned if a nearly new truck, still under full factory warranty, had this issue and the dealer wouldn’t help.

Call the other dealer, or call your dealer back, and be more persistant. Not rude, not offensive, just persistent.
If you can replicate this in a certain area/stretch of road… tell them you’re asking for a test ride with a tech or a service manager.

I agree you paid too much to let it sit in your driveway. But it’s not going to get fixed sitting there.
Since it’s a limited, it may have lane assist or other safety features. Have you tried turning any/all of these off?

Yes I will take it back to another dealer and hopefully they can duplicate this problem.

Thanks

Finally got back at the dealership. They're replacing the rack and pinion. I hope this takes care of this issue.
