First post. so, please bear with me. Having an issue with the Steering Wheel housing rubbing against the housing directly below it (contains turning signal switch). Started with about 4k miles on the truck. Been back & forth to dealership 6 times or so in an attempt to have the issue fixed with no luck. They replaced the steering column- still rubs. If I slide a credit card in between, it moves freely. Otherwise, it rubs. Posting pictures & video where you can hear the rub. Frustrating going back & forth to the dealership, they take it apart- claim that it's fine- a week later, it starts rubbing again. 2021 Ram Bighorn, 8 cylinder Hemi.

I wonder if you could place a wide plastic pry tool in the bottom and try and widen the gap there. Maybe that would bend a mounting tab a little and keep it clear?

Have you tried the telescoping and pulling the wheel out a little to see if it helps ?

i have. it's remains the same. in my eyes, the gaping should be the same top & bottom. looked at another Ram (same truck). it had an equal amouny of gap top, bottom, sides

if it wasn't a new truck of just a few months, i would start screwing around like that, but I want Ram to just fix it under warranty & do it the "right" way. 😂😂😂

Agreed but since they don’t see an adjustment they might just be calling it as good as it gets unfortunately

You might have to tackle this on your own if your dealer keeps limping this along. You could try spraying a little silicone spray in there and see if the noise stops.
Nothing like a little lube to take care of a friction problem. :p

I noticed mine started this today. After the dealer had my truck all day yesterday to do the AC TSB. I’m going to look at it tomorrow to see if something small I can adjust before I hassle the dealer about it.

that was the first thing the dealership did... couple weeks later, the issue came back.

Worst part of owing a Ram is the service center's version of the "right" way
