Well, you and your dealer have that in common… You won’t know anything for weeks or months on your order…. But now you have renewed purpose in life - begging for any information on your truckJust placed a trx order and wondering if anyone knows wait times in Canada? I talked to me dealer and he said he wouldn’t know anything for a couple weeks to months on where it is on order. If the plant got the order in the Que.
I mean he could have said this to me so I won’t text him everyday asking the same questions if the order went through? When’s the truck starting production? How long is the wait? When will it get to you? Haha just the standard annoying questions as an excited and eager hopefully soon to be owner of a trxWell, you and your dealer have that in common… You won’t know anything for weeks or months on your order…. Congrats on the new order and I hope it comes quickly for you.
canada orders are weird.Just placed a trx order and wondering if anyone knows wait times in Canada? I talked to me dealer and he said he wouldn’t know anything for a couple weeks to months on where it is on order. If the plant got the order in the Que.
If you haven't done so already, I recommend joining the TRX forum (www.ram-trx.com) - that site is dedicated solely to the TRX. You'll find a lot of good information there.Just placed a trx order and wondering if anyone knows wait times in Canada? What exactly is a fleet order? If you haven't done so already, I recommend joining the TRX forum (www.ram-trx.com) - that site is dedicated solely to the TRX. You'll find a lot of good information there.
I'm on both forums, and I can tell you there's no definitive answer. The TRX wait times are generally longer than other trims (such as Bighorns and Laramies). And Canada presents a particular challenge. One of the biggest things I've noticed about Canadian orders is that many people up there do "fleet orders". Is yours a fleet order? If so, it might be a REALLY long time before you see it.
There are a couple of ways that a dealer can put in an order to the factory. What exactly is a fleet order?
There are a couple of ways that a dealer can put in an order to the factory.
"Sold Order" - indicates a customer sale, and supposedly has a higher priority
"Stock Order" - indicates a dealership order for lot inventory (ground sales)
"Fleet Order" - can be a bulk order by companies/dealerships for work truck fleets, rental car fleets, etc.
For whatever reason, I've seen several people from Canada who ordered through a dealership - but their orders were set up as fleet orders. Those usually take the lowest priority for production.
canada is weird. Why would a dealer order it as a fleet order if a customer is wanting to buy it right away?
I’m hoping it’s not fleet lolcanada is weird.
Ask your dealer for a POC (Priced Order Confirmation). It will show the details of your order. At the bottom, there will be a "Scheduling Priority" section. If it was entered as a sold order, it will say, "01 - Sold Order".I’m hoping it’s not fleet lol
Does it matter if it’s a Canadian order compared to US? Or are they same?Ask your dealer for a POC (Priced Order Confirmation). It will show the details of your order. At the bottom, there will be a "Scheduling Priority" section. If it was entered as a sold order, it will say, "01 - Sold Order".
There are differences between Canadian and US orders, but it's not clear to me what aspect you're wondering about.Does it matter if it’s a Canadian order compared to US? Or are they same?
Say for instance POC and fleet order ect….just terms like those. Wondering if it’s different up here compared to the states if we have different lingo. There are differences between Canadian and US orders, but it's not clear to me what aspect you're wondering about.
I doubt it, I assume the Canadian dealers use the same software (DealerConnect) to place orders. If that's the case, then I would think the terminology would be the same.Say for instance POC and fleet order ect….just terms like those. There have been no build sheets since 12/28. Some window stickers have trickled off and on for the past few days, though.Haven’t seen an update from @triple_B Wonder if he’s on vacation or if there’s no info from Ram for this week. Hopefully it’s not him getting pi$$€0 off with those of us with trucks on order.
