Start of 2022 Production.

They stopped taking orders last year in mid May, and missed the scheduled model year change over production date due to the 2021 order backlog. I suspect they will cut off orders earlier this year.
The current VIN assignments are up to ~329,000 now (meaning ~229,000 VINs have been assigned), and they've built ~174,000. So they have a current backlog of ~55,000 trucks. If they continue at an average pace of ~6,000/week, then they're sitting on a ~9-week backlog.

Assuming they plan to start the 2023 model year on 9/1 (that's a guess), then they still have ~24 weeks left for the current model year. So they could keep taking orders for another ~15 weeks.

Any reason a vehicle is stuck in paint for 3 days? I checked Friday through Today. ESD was 3/20. And of course, that has passed.

I thought I would have a build sheet by now...

unless you know someone at the plant, (a poster here does) we would just be guessing what happened
But if you want we can post guesses
1 paint ran
2 body fell off the conveyor
3 ran out of your color
:)

Before I start dropping F bombs, you think maybe because its 2-tone color? Im getting the Walnut lower body color....

@BarnacleBrown you know a guy or what? How did you get a BS so fast?!?!?!
Hahaha I wish I did so I could get pictures! This is my first time ordering out of the two Ram's I've had so far. Right now I'm trying to remember if BS means that it's already been built or that it's currently going down the prod line. From what I've seen the WS is that it's done and the dealer has been charged for it and they could start listing it on their site and say "it's on it's way" like we see all the time.

when a build sheet is issued the unit has left or shipped off the main assembly line

Sandi from Mark Dodge replied to an email inquiry I submitted earlier today. She mentioned that last year, the manufacturer cut of the 2021’s on May 4th. She suspects it'll be similar for the 2022s.

Now I gotta get off the pot or poop, as the saying goes. I'll check back with Mark Dodge on April 11th. I'll be one month shy of my last house payment but if I need to place an order, I'll just have to place the order.

Thanks for all the info provided on this forum.

If it helps..... you don't pay for the truck until it shows up. Just gotta put $1k down with MD.

Nice @BarnacleBrown !!

Did you get just a regular big horn or did you get back country package?

Granite Crew Cab Etorque Hemi 4x4, Level 2 (B), Led package, premium audio package. I wish I would added the moonroof. I'm regretting it now. But with the way pricing is and already upgrading from my level 1 BH, I decided I'd get it on my next truck.

Does anyone know when you will show d2 or anything between d1 and BS prior to your build sheet being issued? Like for example my esd is 4/3 but still showing D1. When should i progress to d2 and so on? Assuming it all runs on schedule .

There is no D2 status. You are in D1 until you start production (E, F, G) then you get a build sheet.
