Start of 2022 Production.

Yes have to have the 10th Anniversary package first then pick the color and blue shade will appear
Thank you for the straight forward answer. This is what I assumed was the case when ordering through most dealers. As @SkeeterRAM, said it depends on the dealer and their wiliness to get a sale and their relationship with their local rep, as to what actually can be done.

I love Patriot Blue and that is why I ordered it at the time, but after seeing pics of some of the Blue Shade trucks I have a bit of envy!

Just some caution for those picking up at a dealer with a long drive home. After a big wash yesterday, I've come to find a bunch of small rock chips on the front bumper of my truck. I didn't do Track Armor or anything else unfortunately as I had read it can leave some permanent marks on your paint, but fool me I guess as now I'm dealing with rock chips. Not a huge deal though ... I was going to get a ceramic coating and PPF on the front anyway, so the body shop I went to are going to fix up the bumper and then PPF the front bumper and the smaller panels just above it so save any future issues. I expected a couple of chips to be honest with a 2000 mile road trip.

The guy at the body shop did say though, in the future to get the blue painters tape from Home Depot and apply it to the front of the truck if you want to save any chips. He said it comes off clean and they use this method a lot for protecting the front end of cars when travelling. So for anyone with a long trip to bring their truck home from the dealer, I would highly suggest getting some painters tape or other method to protect the front bar.

I arranged with a Ceramic Coater to do coating and clear vinyl before I pick up my truck from the dealer just to avoid this situation. I am only going from Philly to Long Island but I was going to get it done at home anyway, plus is saved from giving up the truck for a couple days.

I didn't think of that. I only will have 300 miles to go but I definitely planned on PPF when I got it home. Painters tape is a good idea. Thanks

Great idea. I would've got something done in Lake Charles but I was on a bit of a time constraint so didn't want to sit around for a few days to get it done.

Ultimately its going to happen sooner or later. I live and travel a lot in the Southwest so our roads are always covered in rocks and dirt and shrapnel so it was a matter of time, just annoying that I couldn't get her home without any battle scars:cry: But ultimately she's no garage diva, likely will put 15,000 miles on her this year easily so the PPF and fresh bumper should help long term.

The guy from the body shop said the painters tape looks like crap of course, but it works wonders.

Sorry you got dinged! I plan to put track Armor on. I asked them not to wash it so if its fifthy I’ll probably find a do it yourself then apply it.

I also heard it can leave a residue if left on for days. I’m putting it on, making a 5 hour layover to relatives in MS. As soon as I get there I’ll take it off. Then reapply for the 5 hour trip home and take it off! Next monday the pro tint/PPF/ceramic will have it for a week!

Good stuff, yeh I think you can't leave it on for more than a day before it gets risky with possible residue bleeding into the clear coat. I had 5 days/2000 miles so wasn't really an option to take off and reapply every day, particularly when it was about 19 degrees in places like Amarillo when I passed through :ROFLMAO:

Tell Charles the Aussie said hi when you head there!

Agree that your situation wouldn’t lend to taking it off every day. As I understand it was developed for enthusist that take their personal car to a track. When the race is over they remove it. Only if you leave it on for a few days does it cause a problem. But that is just internet hearsay, no personal experience!

Sitting in Baton Rouge tonight and will make the remaining two hour drive tomorrow morning!! I’ll tell Charles hi!!

Mine beat the 15 days from SHAP. It's here. Per internet sales girl. My salesman isn't suppose to know I know already. Lol
ha yea i got a message from my dealer with a picture of the window sticker and i said i already have it. he was confused

I didn't bother with the PPF this time. Had it on my last truck and still ended up with rock chips everywhere. As much time as I spend on the highway, I'm convinced there's nothing I can do to stop them. I drive slow, I stay away from big rigs, and I don't get close to anyone. Probably doesn't help that everyone sees a truck pulling a camper as an opportunity to cut in as close to my front bumper as possible. Then there are the jerks who do it because that's just how they drive.

I'll just get my bumper and mirror caps repainted when it bothers me lol.

Agree with all your points. I think they quicker you come to terms with it, the easier it is knowing you have a couple of chips. Big rigs are definitely the main issue though from my experience ... unfortunately, I was on the I-40 westbound for a big part of my trip and it is like big rig central ... I believe it's one of the main east-west freight/trucking routes.

Yeah, a semi that cuts in front of me after passing is the worst. Really gets under my skin. We were on I-65 for most of the trip and I think Kentucky and Tennessee might take worse care of their roads than Texas.

Did anyone else just get an email from Chrysler Capital saying they've been approved for financing? I have not submitted an application to them, nor did I see any hits on my credit from them... but the email definitely had my name on it.

"Scheduling" is D status. Once your order is accepted and a VIN# has been assigned you move to D. You can be there for days, weeks, or in some of our cases there are still orders from May/June in D. The next status (hopefully) for you is D1. This is when you are hard scheduled for production to begin. D1 means that all the parts for your build have been allocated and are on site.
so when BS (build sheet?) comes that is at start of actual build? and then WS is when window sticker comes and last step before actual ship?

You must not ever have traveled through Kansas or Oklahoma!..Texas is far superior on roads when I makes my trip from Iowa to the Texas fishing lakes

In my younger days when I was stationed in Arizona I went through Oklahoma on my way to and from my hometown. That was about 15 years ago. I'm convinced the bit of I-10 between Houston and Beaumont is the worst road in the country.

The flip side of that is 130 from I-10 up to Austin sure is fun in a Vette. 🏎️
