So, I've probably gone completely crazy, but I figure that this is a safe space, so it's ok to share. Given that I'll likely never see the Ram I ordered, which is more or less confirmed by my dealer, I've now entered the arena of "I'll take any truck I can get." I placed a reservation for a Sierra Denali Ultimate when reservations opened up (back in October), but I've had no movement there and I've heard rumblings that delivery dates could be well into Q3/Q4 this year. So, since I've struck out with both Ram and GMC, I've decided to order a 2022 F150. The dealer
guaranteed I'd have my truck by the end of March, which I don't believe, but I had them modify the order contract to say that if my truck isn't
delivered by April 1, I get my deposit back
or they have to give me an additional $1,000 of the truck when it is delivered, my choice. I figure it's worth a shot, since I don't lose anything by ordering it and they gave me $5k off MSRP and are throwing in a Retrax tonneau cover for free, which basically puts me at around invoice pricing.
Only time well tell.
@RamCares, if you want to save my business, make my trucking truck already and stop coming up with lame excuses we all know don't hold any water.
