The air would be nice for the towing but lifting is an issue. Without air, you can lift and still tow.

Because something bad “might” in the future is no way to live life. The gas shocks might leak too. The benefits of air far outweigh the mights of them failing. Yes, I had air ride in other vehicles in the past, so I fixed them, who cares, things break.

My last three vehicles have had air and I love it. Went from a 14 Ram sport to a 17 Volvo XC90 R-Design to 19 Ram Limited

I went with the air. Hopefully they have made some advances to make it more reliable in this 5th gen.
