I unplugged mine and it felt like the vibrations were a bit stronger and more noticeable. It doesn’t matter if eco mode is on or not, I feel them in either case.

Well I can tell you this..they are causing the vibration but what vibration are they seeing to cause them to turn on is beyond me..the lead tech guy working on mine said the problem is they don’t have no way to communicate with them..the cpu just turns them on when it sees vibration..we unhooked them and it stopped but the truck sees something causing the vibration or it wouldn’t turn them on..it’s starting to be a huge deal too..videos on YouTube popping up ..they going to have a mess on there hands..

Any links to the videos on YouTube you can post? The only thing I could find was one from back in 2018.

Also, why hasn't the dealer just decided to replace them instead of continuing to fiddle with them?

Hi guys. Just got myself an 2019 and also feel the vibration. It starts happening around 61 mph. It feels like unbalanced tires. Took the truck to the dealership at around 500 miles and they said they balanced the tires. Got the truck back and took it back to dealer again with about 800 miles on it now. Was waiting for 3 hours to just the tech tell me that’s the way the truck drives. We went for a drive with the tech and he didn’t want to drive the truck over 55. He said they weren’t allowed. So we decided that I’m going to take the ram in again so they can keep it for the day so the tech can really spend some time on it. I love the truck but come on.. FCA must know about this.

Did anyone file a complaint?

Hi wep1981,

I sincerely regret to hear of the trouble you are experiencing. As you are currently working with your dealer on this, I would like to escalate a case on your behalf to get you connected with a Case Specialist for further assistance. I test drove my new 2019 1500 Limited with 22-inch wheels last week and mentioned the vibration to the salesperson. He had the service department balance all four tires and they drove it ~25 miles on multiple test rides before picking up my new truck. They claimed they did not notice any vibration. WRONG! I picked up the truck on Saturday, and on the drive home, the vibration was still there.

After reading this thread, I'm concerned with the number of replies by RamCares and their requests to PM them with feedback. While I can appreciate their support on this site, what is FCA doing about this widely known problem? It would be more helpful to all involved to learn more about this problem dating back to over one year ago. It's also concerning FCA has knowledge of this problem and it has not been resolved.

I will start by taking my truck out of MDS mode to see if it alters my vibration/symptoms around 61 Mph. The Active Tuned Mass Modules working with the MDS seems to make a logical 2nd step, after having the tires rebalanced.

Hello 4Fitz,
This was the same scenario I had when I purchased my truck. They assured me that it was only flat spots in my tires, but nope! Even though they replaced the tires it still shakes and I've been trying not to let it bother me, but I can't. It's extremely annoying. Ram also gave me some free oil changes, but its not worth the frustration.
I am taking my truck back for service (hopefully) next week for its first oil change and for them to continue wasting my time again. My ADVISE for anyone out there questioning the purchase of the new Ram 1500 is to NOT sign anything until YOU have driven it SEVERAL times. If I would have taken it for a 2nd test drive then I wouldn't be driving it today. I would be driving a Toyota. BUYER BEWARE!

To add: I also have been playing around with the ATMMs and it seems that the more they turn on/off, the more out of sync they get. I can confirm that the ride does improve if I select gear 8 after start up and keep it like that the entire drive.

Hi 4Fitz,

I sincerely regret to hear of this concern with your new truck, your sentiments expressed here are certainly understandable. As our team here on the forum is not mechanically trained, we are unfortunately unable to speculate regarding vehicle concerns. However, if you plan to address this with your dealer, our team is able to escalate a case on your behalf to have this concern formally documented and connect you with a Case Specialist who can provide you with an additional layer of support while working with your dealer. Please feel free to follow up with us via private message if you would like to proceed in this manner.

I have been having the same issues with my ram for the last 1-2k miles (currently at 10k miles). Kept thinking it was just me, and tried to ignore it, but it’s unmistakable and is very loud and is an intense vibration. It literally happens ALL THE TIME throughout a long ride, really whenever I coast and MDS kicks in.

My Dad and uncle who are both Chevy guys were riding with me today on a long drive to northern MN, and it was absolutely EMBARRASSING, as they noticed the whole time and they weren’t even driving! Ram has a serious problem on their hands. Word is spreading fast. I am so upset that I spent how much I paid for this when this kind of crap happens and it looks like Ram doesn’t even have a fix? What can seriously be done?

I too, have been getting the vibrations at @ 55- 65. Ive yet to find a solution but i am avidly hunting for one! I HEARD it might have something to do with bolts on the trans yoke not beeing tightened but im not sure how valid that is. I know one thing, a $63k truck shouldnt be vibrating!!! And DAMN its annoying!!! Any and ALL advice is appreciated!!!

2020 1500 Limited. Factory 22’s. Air suspension. No lifts or mods. Multifunction tailgate. Slight vibration around 60. Built late September 2019. Thought I was making it up. Under 500 miles. Read all the posts.
Anyone have tonneau cover change the effect? Want to swap tires to more aggressive ones on factory rims but afraid it might make it worse.
My nonprofessional 2 cents does sound like an issue of anti vibration being out of sync. Guess Ram can’t engineer it to work correctly.
Will keep watching but it still exists in the 2020’s hitting the showroom.

I have the BAKflip MX4 tonneau cover and no change.

My first post and I get to reading about this vibration and its not to comforting, I was really close to getting a 2020 Limited but this vibration is making me second guess!
Is this an issue with all the trucks with/without E-torque, as I know the 2020 5.7 all have E-torque now I believe--is this a hit or miss, meaning there are a few out there that do not have the vibration issue. Im guessing that Ram dealers do not have a fix for this either!

Hmm, thought it was just me. I have small vibration, only two weeks old and 250 miles.

Someone posted in another thread that they experienced vibration in 4wd auto and 4wd.

This morning I had it in 4wd auto and the vibration felt worse to me than normal.

Could this give any clue as to the underlying issue? Does anyone have a 2wd only and also the vibration issue?

I took a lengthy ride in 4wd auto this weekend and it was much worse than just 2wd. Even at speeds of 5-10 mph. As soon as I switched back to 2wd, I noticed it happening less, but was definitely still happening. Makes driving the truck so much less enjoyable. Shouldn’t be happening to a $50k truck in 2019. Ram needs to do something now. They must be bleeding customers.

Update.....
Since my truck had 10 miles on it, there was a noticeable vibration between 55-65. Now, after three sets of 22" wheels and new Goodyear tires and 400 miles on the odometer, it still has a vibration. It does not appear to be related to MDS mode since changing the wheel and tire assemblies changed the level of vibration. The Goodyear tires 'appeared' out of round, when they put the truck on the lift and put it in gear. The tires where 'wobbling' and showed evidence of flat spots, according to the tech. I'm waiting to hear back from the service manager on what the next step is to resolve this very annoying vibration.

You what is so sad, is that my very first test drive was in a 2019 Limited with eTorque but no Air Suspension, and that truck drove like I was driving a sedan. It was so smooth and comfortable, I couldn't believe I was driving a truck. Fast forward to the POS I'm driving today, and that memory just haunts me!!! Makes me wish I hadn't fallen in love at first drive (either that or that I had bought that exact truck right then and there!!!)
