So after 10 weeks and 2 days of my Ram being at the dealer for multiple problems, I finally got it back on Friday. Hadn’t really driven it much since Friday until today. Went out running errands and after about 20 minutes of driving my 8 year old yells out from the back that his seat belt came apart. Sure enough it obviously wasn’t anchored anymore. Good thing nothing bad happened before finding this. This whole experience with 796FD168-7D66-4B30-8042-9FD4752AC481.jpegthis truck has been unbelievable.

Did the dealer do work behind the rear seats?

I’ve had several people including myself have the same thing happen. Folks if they do work on your rear interior, check this before you even leave the lot..

Yes this one is on the dealer. They obviously did a poor job reinstalling the rear seats after having to remove them to replace the back glass.

Un-friggin believable. If you could, please post your dealer experience on the thread below, as we are compiling a list of good/bad dealers to help fellow forum members:

Thanks,

Thanks,
Sigh. Some dealers know how to ruin a good truck...

Wow! Glad you found this before something unfortunate happened. Just another example of how seemingly no one cares about the job he or she is doing. Slap it together and get it out the door.

As you stated, GOOD thing your kid found it prior to finding it the hard way. I'd drive right back and grab the manager and put in a complaint .. I won't go into my past, but know exactly what happens when something fails and you lose a child ..

Raise some hell .. respectfully .. show them that the tech needs to be written up and told to pay attention as someone else's life depends on that seatbelt!

Scary

So sorry you have had this experience. Ten f***int weeks is unreal. I’d be on the horn to the better business bureau

Time to contact a lawyer, you were one wreck away from a hurt or worse child.

Of course they said it was the glass companies fault but it doesn’t matter. They were still the ones responsible for its proper repair.

They don't call them "Stealers" for nothing.
Really sorry for your experiences.
Auto repair business in the USA is probably one of the scummiest industries in the country.

Hi Douglas31,

We are terribly sorry to see this! Did you alert your dealer? Please let us know if we can offer support when you return to the dealer.
