I'm a new 2019 Ram 1500 Limited owner. After being a loyal Toyota owner for 29 years, the new Ram drew me away. Being so new, I took my Ram into the dealer I purchased it from to have the rear seat belt fixed that isn't working correctly. After waiting with my 1.5 year old for 3 hours in the waiting room, they came out and told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it even after showing the check-in guy the part that wasn't working. I still don't know what they looked at for 3 hours. So I went back out to the truck and showed them again and they said, oh, we didn't look at that. ARGH! I know 3 other people what have had the same horrible experience with this dealer's service department. So I wasn't sure what forum was the most appropriate to post as this is my first one. Can anyone from the Twin Cities, MN area recommend a dealer that has a good service Department as I will not go back to where I bought it again if at all possible.

Thanks!

Hi outback1972,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you had this negative experience at the dealer. You can find dealers near you by entering your zip code here:
https://www.ramtrucks.com/find-dealer.html

Any dealer with the blue and white "Customer First" banner under its name has been recognized for excellence in customer service. I hope this helps.

I don’t know how much I would trust that list. The only one in my area that has been “recognized for excellence” has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The next closest one with the banner is 91 miles away.

It all depends on where in the TC's you live. I live out west and got my truck from Waconia (close to home and was easier for my wife to come and sign all the paperwork with our 1 year old in tow). Staff there seems quite good, but haven't brought the truck in for any work. Other than that, I work down by Shakopee (and had a co-worker buy a '19 from Apple) and outside of a few quite overpriced add-ons they were going to charge him, he hasn't had any complaints on their service department.

I think it is a hunt and peck thing until you find one that you can trust and keep going there.
