When I unplug the smaller SGW plug from its plastic module box, it starts giving an error code on the truck's speedometer HUD "115v cargo outlet on", but when I plug it back in to the module it goes away.

I am trying to install a Tazer DT, but the truck won't even let me plug it in, once I do the truck becomes completely unresponsive and will not even let me turn it on. As soon as I unplug it, the truck starts responding again "still with cargo outlet error" until the sgw cable is put back in the module box. Then it's back to normal and the truck functions fine.

Now my check engine light is on.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Might want to contact Tazer maker Z Automotive. You didn't provide any info on your vehicle either.

Thanks edited to show the truck info.

I did contact Tazer but the funny thing is i don't think it is the device that is the issue because the truck throws the error before I even plugged it in. As soon as the sgw plug was removed from its holderr the truck starts flashing "115v cargo outlet on".

I had a similar issue with a start stop eliminator I had before I got my tazer. I had the 115v outlet on message, a cargo light symbol, and issues with the radio getting stuck on. By luck I moved the start stop eliminator and everything worked, so I removed it didn’t have any more issues. The start stop eliminator worked fine if plugged in just right, but I got a deal on a tazer so I stopped messing with it. The tazer has been flawless, so I just assumed it was a connector issue with the start stop device, but now I wonder.
