Rusted Out Oil Pan

2021 Ram , 65000 miles,
Live in northern Indiana

Currently dealing with this rusted oil pan,

Then a crack exhaust manifold,

I’m post to go back into the dealership next week so the service manager can check this out, and hopefully they cover it , but we all know that answer,

I requested a quote a week ago, for the oil pan,
$1400 to replace by it

Ram seriously cut corners with these trucks. Have a 2021 that had all the bolts for the exhaust flanges rust out at 35k miles. Oil pan is rusted and prone to failing been noticeable since 24k miles, got really bad at 48k miles. Had an intermittent issue with grinding when wheel turn is locked out and backing up left, dealer cannot recreate it.

Oil pan should have cathodic epoxy (e-coat) and paint/powder coat for being in the location that it is and prone to rock chips. Seems like Ram or their OEM supplier cheapened out at the expense of all the customers... Will be purchasing a new one and sending it out to e-coat and powder coating it myself to avoid a repeat issue.

To be 100% transparent to the "it is the conditions and salting in the winter" folks. I have a 2004.5 Ram 2500 with nearly 400k miles that still has its stock oil pan with minimal surface rust but the finish mostly fully intact.
