I have a Rough Country low-profile tri-fold cover for my 2019 Ram 1500 5'7 bed that has developed a "cut" where the trifold folds. I contacted Rough Country to see if I could get a side seal replacement, but they said they don't sell the individual part. I contacted Real Trucks to ask the same and they said they don't stock Rough Country products. I'd like to replace the whole seal instead of a fix. Anyone know of a place that sells a Rough Country Side Seal Kit?

Genuinely have no idea if the seals can be replaced or not. I can see two other places where it folds starting to get the same cracking and will eventually split.

They won't warranty the part, or is it out of warranty?

They have a 5 year warranty on this, give them a call and speak to them about it if you are within warranty, otherwise try to get it off and lets take a look to see if others would fit.

Kind of both. Rough Country says that they don't sell the seals separately so I'm out of luck there. I am also not the original owner of the bed cover, so I'm unable to provide a proof of purchase for them to warranty it (at least that's what I assume since the chat agent asked me about proof of purchase).

I'll try calling again and see what they said. Part of the problem is that I am not the original owner so I don't have a definite on when it was purchased. The previous owner couldn't find his proof of purchase, but he said he was able to get replacement side seals and a bulkhead seal through contacting Rough Country. He said, "I remember having to call customer service and a guy helped me pick out all new seals for the cover, rails and bulk head. I think it was about $75-$100 all said and done, delivered to my door." " I called the number on the email response and was forwarded to a third party company to buy the seals."

Here is the attached original e-mail he sent in 2024 for replacement:

Hard to believe RC doesn't sell a replacement or willing to help
Got in touch with Matt from RC yesterday on the phone. He was way more helpful, but still in the same situation.

I guess the RC model I have is "older" which is interesting because it's on a 2019 RAM so it can't be that old. Nonetheless, they've redone the cover at some point and no longer manufacture the "T Slot" seal as he described it. He said I might be able to find one that would work at Lowe's, Home Depot, or a boat/automotive specialty store.

He did mention if I could locate the proof of purchase from the previous owner, they could probably warranty it, so there's that.

I have a 2019 as well with a trifold low profile cover from rc. I bought mine in around 2022. The design is different than yours.

Previous owner doesn't remember where he bought from? Was it online, if so he should be able to get a hold of the seller for that information, or sign into his account for it.

If the seals have already been replaced once, I personally wouldn’t waste my time on it. Can’t be a very good design if they go that bad that quickly.

Probably why they made the change and upgrades like any company over time, but if he already has it, why not until the tonneau quits working.

I see your point, this will be the first time he’s had to fix it. If it were me though, even if I fix it I’d know it’s going to go bad again and I hate to do a job twice, or wonder if it’s going to start leaking one of those times that I have something in the bed that I don’t want to get wet
