Hey guys, putting this out hear to see if anyone else has had the same experience? I reached out to a local dealership to see if they were receiving an RHO in the upcoming months? I am planning on upgrading from my 2020 Rebel to a new RAM. I love my Rebel and was going to look for a new one but the price will be close to what RAM is advertising to a base RHO. The dealership asked me to send them my build for the RHO from the RAM website so that they could build it in their system to see if they could get one allocated to them. After I sent them a screenshot of the website build, I was told that the color I chose was not an option in the system. Then I was told with the options I gave them that they were $10k more than the website. I am not putting this out here to bash the dealership as they treat me well just upset that RAM is advertising a price vs the real price. Looks like I may hang onto my Rebel for another year or two until I can test drive a RHO and one comes available on the used market if I Like the truck. IMG_4809.png

I have a completely loaded limited on order and my options did not total 10 grand. they were the same price at the dealer vs what I built online.

Oh I like these puzzles they are fun!

Please don't share the name of the dealership, that way I can tell you what I think happened and I'm not talking smack about anyone specifically.

Here's what I think happened:

You asked for Forged Blue Metallic, which is not available.
Instead, they chose for you the HYDRO BLUE which is available.
BUT the hydro blue is the only color that actually requires that you ALSO add the Level One Equipment Group, which is $9,995.
Therefore, you were not getting a quote for the same equipment you asked for - you got a quote for a LOT more tech/etc.
This is a VERY easy mistake to make but also really obvious when you look at the price sheet and see a $9995 separate item....

Now that I have your attention, though, yes please let me get you a quote we are $9K off MSRP for what you're asking for, if you can go with a black, white, silver, or red RHO.
Dealers will NOT have these on their lots as stock order unless someone backs out of an order, and in that case most places will be charging at or above MSRP. Might as well order to get just what you want and pay a LOT less :)

To be fair and honest the dealership has treated me well on my last truck I bought through them and that is the reason I am not sharing their name. The color I chose was not available at all when the salesman was setting up what I wanted in the system. I told him that any color was fine except for silver, but I liked the hydro blue the most. If I am going to throw $80k plus at an RHO then I might as well go buy a used TRX… same truck but will a supercharged V8. I understand these trucks won’t have an over stock and that is why we tried to build and order what I wanted. I was shocked about the difference of the price. I am not trying to start anything bad just curious if anyone else has had this issue with ordering a truck? I would consider talking to you about an RHO, are you in New England? What I shared in my original post is what I wanted if i decided to custom order.

Sounds like he explained why there was such a big difference in price. Go back to your dealer and ask them to use red for the color, with just the options you want and see what they come back with. And yes, some dealers are giving incentives on all new 2025 trucks. But these are dealer incentives. If your dealer doesn't want to work with you on getting the price under MSRP, then are they really trying to "treat you well" as a returning customer?

Didn't you read what Anthony posted? Based on your build, if you choose any color currently available, except Hydro Blue, he can sell the truck to you for $65k.
Mark Dodge is in Louisiana.

Get a quote from Mark Dodge and Koons. They’ll be really close in price. Koons gives a slightly bigger discount but they have a higher doc fee. Take those two quotes to your dealership and ask him to match the price. You should get that truck for under $67k OTD. Keep in mind granite crystal and forged blue are not available yet.

Right... what I'm saying is leave the dealer name out as neither you nor I intended to bash them as individuals.
The reason your price went up by $10K was due to the constraint that HYDRO requires L1.
We are located in Lake Charles, Louisiana but can ship anywhere!

If you did silver, same price as forged blue, for example:

MSRP $74,425
Dealer Discount -$9,000
Doc Fee $425
Temp Tags $4
Total before your state's tax, title, license $65,854

If that sounds like a good deal please email us at [email protected] and we'll get things put together.

He did! But we also tried different combinations of color too.
