Folks,

I'm 99% sure that modern manufacturing techniques has RAM just applying these items with adhesive. (Old school types would drill holes in body and mount exterior verbiage with mounting studs through the holes...with nuts.)

So, if I wanted to remove these things, just a heat-gun and some fishing line (if needed)?

This will work on the front doors and the lower portion of the tailgate. Grille is just tabs and the center logo on the tailgate has alignment holes and adhesive tape.

Too bad they designed this truck so you need major body work if you remove the tacky hood badges. I have yet to see apost where someone said they actually liked them.

I like the dark, not the chrome. I wish I'd had other wheel choices. But, instead, I'll just put money in the pocket of the aftermarket folks. ;)

I think the only one that has location holes is the large RAM lettering on Rebels, TRXs and certain other special trims on the tail gate.

You can remove the "4x4" on the tailgate and small "RAM" on the sides of the front doors. But not the big "R A M" on the tail gate without exposing the locating holes.

Just did this on mine the other day, have a big blister on my thumb from removing the bulk of the adhesive. If you haven’t done it yet I highly recommend buying a 3M pinstripe eraser wheel. Would’ve been well worth the $45. But if you don’t want to spend it I got it done with fishing line and goo gone. The Laramie badge on the tailgate was by far the hardest one.

I used one of these to remove the chrome "4x4" on the tailgate and "Ram" on the doors. Used a fishing string to pull the letters off and the wheel on the adhesive. Came off clean. Detailers use this to remove pinstripe and prep cars for wraps, detail, etc.
