Remove warning decals from the visors?

Has anyone removed the interior warning decals from the window visors yet?

How did it go?

Did it leave any residue, damage or leave behind any evidence that the decals were previously installed on the visors at all? My Bighorn has the fuzzy looking visors (not leather nor vinyl).

In the past, I have had good luck doing this, but I'd prefer to ask if anyone has had luck with this before being the first one to try it on the new RAM.

It usually cleans up the look of the interior a lot, and having the Blackout version already, I think the truck would look better without them.

Yes, I know the internet lawyers could get me. I remove warning labels from mattresses all the time also!

Then that will look like a coverup. I'd rather just remove them. I've done it before, but I'm not sure how aggressive the adhesive that the factory used, nor if they will damage the fabric after removal.

People debadge the outside of their trucks, why not delabel the inside too?

Any update? I don't want to bugger up my interior, but hate these warning decals.

On the last vehicle I did this on, I placed the decal inside of the glove box, so a warning was still there, but we didn't have to stare at it every day. Read it once and be done!

These look like the visors I have and even the same warning label, but I'm not crazy with his results as there is a lot of adhesive left, so perhaps the alcohol trick will clean it up?:

Some of those above have 'vinyl' visors, not the fuzzy fabric type.

On my Bighorn, the visors are a sort of slightly fuzzy fabric. My fear is that a lot of adhesive or some telltale residue is left behind and then I'll have a bigger mess to deal with.

Thinking of doing this sometime this week or weekend. I did it on my Lincoln and there was a large amount of residue left after I took them off. I used goo gone to get the rest of it off - had to keep the windows open for a while after though since it smelled

Yes Rich,,I’ve debadged my last few trucks. It’s the first thing I do after the initial good wash job. I specifically tell them not to touch anything before I pick it up. I don’t need some ****head that doesn’t care about MY new truck touching it!!

Goo Gone is a bit oily and can take more time to evaporate and might stain a fabric? Perhaps try some alcohol first to see if it will work?

Tried it on a Honda years ago that had the fabric material. It was a bad idea. I tried a number of products to remove the residue with negative results. It ended up looking worse than the decals. I wouldn't risk effing your truck up for something that is very insignificant and out of sight most of the time.

I pulled the stickers off first, which of course left the dried adhesive underneath. dabbed both visors with Goof Off, and used a very light steel wool to scrape the dried glue after the Goof Off dried. OUILAH!! No smell, no dried glue! You can't even tell the stickers were ever there!
