Here’s the side decal. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out with the red but I’m pretty happy with the end result as there doesn’t seem to be too much of it. Lots of compliments. What are your thoughts?

I like it. Did you do the install yourself?

I like the way the red stands out as a contrasting color. Unfortunately for me, my truck is red, so I can't do red contrasts that looks so good on white, silver and grey.

Here’s my side decal. Wasn’t sure how it would look but I quote it. It’s gotten a lot of compliments. Just the perfect amount of red View attachment 85148 View attachment 85148 View attachment 85148

I wonder if you could go with white lettering with the black splash. Maybe even just black and black. As for the install, I had a local shop put it on for me. Didn’t trust my abilities

I photoshopped the same bed decals onto my truck and tried playing with the Rebel text and the outline. Having a red truck with the black lower section, I couldn't find any color combo that looked good. Red text with gray border? No. Gray text with a red border? No. Oh well.

I hear ya. I thought a bit about it too and couldn’t come up with anything that didn’t look too obvious with this decal style. There are other decal styles that are all matte black that would look good on your red I think. A guy in the town I live in has a decal like this one in matte. Looks really sharp on the red for what it’s worth.

35x12.5 Toyo with a 3 inch lift and gorhino running boards. The hard part about the boards is that they are massive and hang quite a bit lower than most of the other running boards out there so they take away from the lift a bit. They also stick out pretty far too and take away from my wheels coming out with the 1.5 inch spacers I put on.

I wanted to call out the vinyl producer that many of these vinyl companies are reselling. It appears that Pro Design Series manufactures the vinyl decal patterns and uses companies like AutoGraphics Pro or Vinyl Graphics Pro to distribute their product.

I found an issue with my vinyl that was self inflicted, and I reached out to the manufacturer and AutoGraphics Pro. Both companies list they WILL NOT replace any part of the graphic and that the installer (me in this case) is responsible to replace the entire graphic if anything gets damaged during install. Pro Design Series stepped up and sent me a replacement piece of the damaged area.

I thought I'd mention their excellent customer service here since others may want to purchase from a reputable supplier.

Thanks. I had a professional do mine because of your exact situation. I've messed up decals before. Watching the pro do it was helpful, but I'm not sure I'd ever chance it again. It cost me $50 to have him do it which at the end of the day is small potatoes when it comes to what I've spent on my truck. I'm surprised you got any replacement by anyone due to incompetence of applying a decal, and I don't man that in as an attack at all, and it is good to see it happened for you.

On another note, this professional who installed my decal also cuts, produces decals, and wraps vehicles for businesses and he couldn't believe how cheaply made the one I got online was from TVDecals. He showed me the material he uses and even though I'm no expert, the difference was night and day. He said I'll be lucky to get 3-4 years out of my current decal due to washing it at car washes and sun damage.

Just an FYI to all.

Cheers

I saw some people were getting decals from Etsy. I researched the vinyl before purchasing so as to get a quality vinyl. The ProDesign Series uses 7-8 year 3M vinyl, so I should be good.

I'm not sure I would have used the word "incompetence" in your statement about installing the vinyl. Incompetence is the lack of skills required to accomplish a given task. I have the skills and the ability, but my squeegee caught the edge of the vinyl while I was focusing on another area. The damage was small, but due to the fact it wasn't perfect, I was looking for a replacement.

And, I agree with you that I too was surprised that I got a replacement. I was asking how much it would cost since the mistake was clearly mine, but the manufacturer took care of it for me. See the pic below to see the extent of the mistake. You can also see the bubble that I was trying to remove when I noticed it wasn't a bubble, but dust under the vinyl. I replaced the "E" today and now the graphic is perfect and nobody can't tell that a professional didn't do it.

I was just checking my email, and it appears that I got a response from ProDesign Series. They said that they received a request from AutoGraphics Pro to replace a piece of my graphics kit. Based on the fact that I sent an email to ProDesign Series to thank them for helping me, and they notified me that the request actually came from AutoGraphics Pro, I'm sold on these two companies. I'm on multiple forums and I will be supporting these two and making recommendations for them when I can.

I believe in returning the good service with good feedback.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to say your incompetence. I kinda meant anyone’s for that matter. I’m happy you got a replacement, but I was shocked that a manufacture would replace the decal as many of the people installing them aren’t up to task. Not saying you weren’t or aren’t, it was a broad statement that was poorly worded on my part.

Understood. I didn't think you were insulting me directly as you prefaced that in your original statement. I was just stating that I might not have used that word. No offense taken.

Where'd you get this decal from? Looked at a few sites and can't find one like it.
