Drove from AL to TX, cruise on 65 the majority of the time. I had to slow down to 58 to maintain 13mpg on the instant for half of LA though, I swear the whole section of 10 there is uphill headed out west. At 65, the truck was saying 9-11 on the instant. But yet magically once I got through that and in to Texas, I could run 65 again and maintain 12-14 on the instant.
Averaged about 13.5 on the highway, overall about 12.5 but there was some idling and what not. Few stops here and there. The trailer weighed ~4K. Total weight was 9260 on the cat scale.
Realistically for running a heavy 33” “mud” tire, I don’t suppose it could get much better. I bet if I had P rated all seasons, I could have gotten near 15.
