Just bought a 2020 Big Horn with 31,000 miles. I was told 2 different times by the dealer that the bumper to bumper was still good. Drove it a week and noticed water coming in from the rear window. The dealer I bought it from is 90 miles away so I took it to a local dealer only to find out the warranty ran out a little over a month ago. Cost me $150 to find out the rear window frame is cracked and a replacement is over $1,000 just for parts. I called the original dealer and was told by the manager that he was sorry I was misinformed. Thats I all I got. I am not a happy Ram customer!

Mine just went in for this. Do you have glass coverage through insurance? Like if something were to break the back window the insurance would replace the whole unit right?

I got caught by a similar issue with a used BMW I bought. I was told that certain services were covered, but found after I took it in for service that it was only warrantied to the original owner.

When buying used, you should always verify the in service date, not just the mileage.

Worse part is now I'm learning that Ram was aware of the rear window leaking problem. I may reach out to them and see if they can help.

Some people who are out of warranty have had this covered by Ram or their local dealerships and some people haven't. It's always no if you don't ask though. Good luck. I hope they step up and fix it on their dime.

well if you bought it less then 2 weeks ago, dosent it come with a dealer warranty as well? must depend on state laws, but for example enven tho it comes with factory warranty, does the dealer give a 1 month 2kmiles warranty or something like that?
here in quebec province its the laws, when you buy use from a garage, even if there is a factory warranty left the garage also has to give you a minimum warranty (usualy between 1 and 3 months)

It's not like that where I live. Unless explicitly stated, all used car sales are "as is where is", and include no warranty. There are dealers/used car lots that do offer warranties, but it's not automatic on all used vehicles. Of course, the b to b warranty is still valid if it hasn't expired yet.

It's unfortunate that sales reps can and do lie like that. It doesn't matter what they tell you, only the things that you have in writing can be acted on.
