Rear vibration when bass hits or close rear door

We have this same issue. My wife and I Ubered 55 miles to the dealer last night to pick up our new Limited 4x4 Hemi eTourque. Driving away with huge smiles and still in the parking lot, we got our BT connected...and the rattle started. This resulted in us immediately turning around and going back inside the dealership. Unfortunately, we had to drive it away and now have to make arrangements to go back and forth for it to be fixed. I read on some other similar threads that some have had no resolution. I don't want the truck if it is going to rattle when we play music...we ALWAYS play music. Neither of our F150s had this issue even after upgrading their stereo to powerful aftermarket.

The two primary rattles that we immediately identified were with the rear sliding glass and the rear doors. If we pressed on the window, it stops. I'm not sure how the door pocket will be fixed as it is simple too flexible to handle the stereo. Perhaps adding those foam cup holders from the front doors would give it enough support, but will reduce its functional purpose.

This is NOT what we expected when I picked up my new $68k truck and I am worried that my plan to drive this the next 6 years will encounter more rattles. Any rattle for me is intolerable. As requested above, I am PM'ing Ram support.

Our dealer (Glenn Polk RAM - Gainesville, TX ) was in contact with us first thing in the morning with a loaner truck and focused on my complaints. By End of Day, I had a call saying my truck was ready for me.

My primary focus was the sliding window. They researched the forums as well as their documentation and were able to tighten the window assembly as well as add more (aka thicker) insulation to the glass slide rail. I also could tell by the Audio settings they did their best to test it! ;)

It is greatly improved, and I hope it lasts. The rear door only tends to happen with specific resonances and is harder to reproduce so it is off my squawk list.

I'm giving my dealer another double Thumbs Up. They wanted my business and we struck a no B.S. deal quickly and without any "dealership" surprises. The price is price. I highly recommend dealing with them.

Also noted...Ram Cares got back to me right away.

My first 48 hours of driving this truck makes me happy with my decision to leave the F150 behind.

I have the same issue. I traded in my 2016 Ram limited for the 19 and I can tell you the 16 back slide window never rattled but it is an obvious problem with the 19. It's not the volume that sets it off it's just a specific octave. I have not brought it in to the dealer yet. I was waiting for my 1st oil change to bring it up.

Ok, I used a signal generator and set the balance to rear only and found that the rear slide window vibrates at 55 Hz, when partially open it's more pronounced, and the driver side rear door panel vibration peak is at 53 Hz. not sure why the passenger side back door doesn't have the same issue. I guess I will get with the dealer and see what remedy they have in mind because it drives me crazy !

I have this issue as well but heck, I’ve owned my truck for a month but have only been able to drive it for half that. It’s always back at dealer. Becoming very frustrated with the issues in this $67k truck. I live “work” out of my truck. Can’t always be dropping it off. Dealer in Taylor made the purchase a terrible experience and service was just as bad. Telling me it was ready, to show up and nothing had been addressed. Then they had the odasity to ask me to redo my survey to all 10’s. What a joke. I’ve had nothing but dodge/Jeep vechiles for the last decade. This one may be my last. I will check the back window to see if that helps.

It drives us crazy too. Last night it showed back up. The fix lasted 7 days.

Will pursue with Ram Cares and the dealership after the New Year.

The factory sub in my truck was loose. The two 13mm bolts holding the top were hand tight st best. One actually fell out which is what caused me to notice it. Tighten all 4 bolts and I’m sure a lot of the rattles will be lessened or gone.

To appease my laziness, any tips on getting to the sub? Haven't noticed where it is inside the interior yet....

Fold your back seats down and pull the carpeting covering the cab wall. It’s locaed behind the rear passenger side seat. Actually really easy to get to.

Anyone else experience a rattle or vibration when the bass hits or you shut your rear door..seems like it's coming from the middle of the rear cab
I also had this problem had it fixed under warranty just got it back and the rattle is worse. Now it rattles with every bump prior it was just when a song had some bass to it.

I have spent hours searching how to fold the seats down. Mine are anchored in place (Laramie Longhorn). If I put my hand on the sub the rattle stops so I think I just need to tighten it up or add some foam....but I can't get to it!

How did you get those rear seats forward?

Recline the seats all the way. Then pull down the center console. Reach behind the driver's side seat near the top and you will feel/see the angled bracket against the cab rear wall that the seat latches to and slides on when reclining. On the seat back to the passenger's side of the catch is a black loop ~ 6" long. Pull that to the passenger side and it will release the catch allowing the seat to fold forward.

Note that these are not designed to fold all the way like other seats. This is just for occasional access as you can damage cabling in between the back/bottom if you fold too far.

The passenger side seat operates the same way but note that it's loop is also on the passenger side of the catch meaning you have to reach beyond the catch/bracket and pull away/down to release it. Also, some times the loops do not protrude through the fabric hole in the seat back. You then have to fish around for them through the larger fabric hole where the catch itself comes through. Once you've unlatched the seat you can put the loop through the smaller hole Ram intended.

Thank you!!! I will try that this weekend and hopefully fix that darn rattle.

Just fixed my rattle, one screw holding in the sub was completely out and the other was very loose!

Also, in case anyone wants to see the inside of the rear passenger door...
