Anyone else experience a rattle or vibration when the bass hits or you shut your rear door..seems like it's coming from the middle of the rear cab

I'll probably buy some sound damping material and put behind the seats to see if that helps

Try pressing on the top of the rear sliding glass window while playing a bass heavy song.

I have this issue as well.

Inside, there was a thread about this couple months ago. For me it was the top drivers side of the window that was making the noise.

Was there any solution you found to mitigate the rattle?

Okay thanks..did the your noise seem like it was coming from the gap between the cab and bed

I had a couple of rattles. I had two sound similar to what you described.

One was the rear sliding window

The other was a loose tweeter grill on the front door. If you have the HK system try to see if the front tweeter grill moves. If it does that’s the rattle it’s annoying

The noise sounded like it was coming from behind me, took about 5 minutes to find once I started looking.

So odd! I have the same rattles! Passenger door tweeter...grill is loose and rattles. With the overpowering and poorly set up bass, the rear slider and rear doors vibrate. Also the speakers dont really soung like alot of volume is coming out of them if you put your ear to the speaker.

Yep. I have no idea where it is coming from.

Hi everyone,
We understand why this may be frustrating. Feel free to let us know if you decide to have your dealers look into this concern. Just send us a private message and we will gladly provide you with some additional assistance while your trucks are at your dealers.

I may have found the rattle in my truck. If you lift the passenger rear seat and find the hole in the carpet under the seat in the center of the truck, there is a ?resistor? mounted on the back wall. It is mounted very loosely and rattles against the sheet metal. I put a piece of rubber behind it.

Update; Edwards looked closer and found out the resistor I found is actually a LF antenna. It states that on it if you look closely.

sliding window is most of the bass rattle concerns. its because the sub enclosure is mounted to the back wall of the cab.

My passenger door panel has to be replaced. Tweeter grill is loose and apparently they are plastic heat fused rivets which can’t be replaced. Sound is better, but I have to find how to cure the sliding rear window vibration.

I just CA glued the tweeter grill on the back of the panel. Fixed that problem. I used the fabric test tape to solve the sliding window rattle. I built up a few ;ayers and stuck it on the window cut it flush and you can't see it. worked great rattle is gone..

Also in regards to you poor volume I would suggest you see if you fall into the TSB for the amp update. I had mine done and it improved it greatly.

I had a rattle when hitting bumps in the road sometimes. Almost sounded like it was coming from the back window area. Turned out to be the seatbelts. I pushed them tightly against the loops and the rattle stopped. Instead of being cushioned against the loop they were just barely tapping the side of the truck.

We have this same issue. My wife and I Ubered 55 miles to the dealer last night to pick up our new Limited 4x4 Hemi eTourque. Driving away with huge smiles and still in the parking lot, we got our BT connected...and the rattle started. This resulted in us immediately turning around and going back inside the dealership. Unfortunately, we had to drive it away and now have to make arrangements to go back and forth for it to be fixed. I read on some other similar threads that some have had no resolution. I don't want the truck if it is going to rattle when we play music...we ALWAYS play music. Neither of our F150s had this issue even after upgrading their stereo to powerful aftermarket.

The two primary rattles that we immediately identified were with the rear sliding glass and the rear doors. If we pressed on the window, it stops. I'm not sure how the door pocket will be fixed as it is simple too flexible to handle the stereo. Perhaps adding those foam cup holders from the front doors would give it enough support, but will reduce its functional purpose.

This is NOT what we expected when I picked up my new $68k truck and I am worried that my plan to drive this the next 6 years will encounter more rattles. Any rattle for me is intolerable. As requested above, I am PM'ing Ram support.
